Best audio solution for console players

tmac, Amazon
26 September 2014
  • Summary: I am someone who hates using wireless headsets. I recently bought a wired headset, but had no way to connect it to the PS4. Then gave the astro mixamp pro a try. This was the answer to my problems and gave me more than I expected. Lets me conveniently balance out incoming chat from friends and in game volume to hear everything perfectly without straining my ears. I can throw any one of my PC headsets at it and it works great, thanks to all the adapters it came with.

great, but this new MixAmp Pro is way worse ...

Sam, Amazon
22 September 2014
  • Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! If you happen to get a working one, great, but this new MixAmp Pro is way worse than the older one, regardless of any "added features". AVOID! I had the old original MixAmp (made prior to the Skullcandy buy out). It worked really well but for some reason it developed some pops after 4-5 years. I decided to buy the new MixAmp "Pro" to replace the aging one. I had all sorts of issues with the new MixAmp.

Had Distortion in Recording First, Then Switched Sound Cards, Sounds Better!!!

Gaming Since the 80s, Amazon
29 August 2014
  • Summary: Static and distortion when USB plugged into computer and Xbox 360. Solved when plugged into USB plug, but then the noise Gate is annoying, where mic audio fades in and out. No phone number from company for support. Overall my mic quality has gone down as well when plugged into the amp, my mic sounds perfect when plugged into computer. When plugged into this device, still loses clarity even with the USB plug for outlet.
