Summary: This is my third T-Fal iron and I love it. I had recently purchased a more expensive T-Fal from a local department store where I had purchased the previous two but didn't care for the fancier features (the non-tip design seemed to tip more and the new cord design didn't work well for me) so I read...
Summary: This iron is by far the best iron I have ever owned. I recently had to replace a very old Sunbeam. I bought Sunbeam, Black & Decker, and several other brands, all to be returned to the store after they leaked, would not steam well, etc. etc.
Summary: This iron with the technology of 'nonstick' soleplate is saving me everyday. I do laundry and ironing most of the time on a daily basis, even I iron my silk shirts or my cotton suit shirts (which are really sensitive) Tefal providing me the best.
Summary: 3rd UPDATE 5/23/12: Received 2nd replacement last week which is a different newer model iron I guess. One of the new Ultraglide models with the weird handle. Working ok for now. I hope this thing lasts longer than it's 2 predecessor's.
Summary: I researched quite a long time before I chose a new iron. My research really paid off with this T-Fal iron. I have owned: Rowenta (AKA "the big dripper"), Sears, Black and Decker, Procter-Silex, even Dollar General off-brands.
Summary: It's sturdy, the right amount of weight, GREAT steam & I love the vertical steam function. The automatic shut-off & on/off indicator light is great - if the iron is left on it's heel for 8 min, or on it's face for 30 seconds, it will automatically shut off and the indicator light will blink - to...
Summary: This is a very good, basic iron. Irons better/faster than previous iron we had. Using tap water instead of distilled water is very convenient. Really takes out wrinkles with the shot of steam feature. The vertical steaming feature doesn't impress...but tried to take wrinkles out of a linen jacket.
Summary: This was an item on my Christmas wish list. Been using a Rowenta for 30 years (have had two of them) I originally wanted this in my sewing room but after a couple of uses moved it to my main ironing area. Amazing heat, steam and I love the weight and the longer point. It is perfect for narrow spots.
Summary: I'm a guy...bought this iron because I needed one that was easy to operate and also turned off automatically. Easy to fill with water and steams nicely. Most of my clothes are denim and cotton or a blend. Works well on these as I rarely adjust the knob settings.
