Summary: This iron came with a Teflon base. When I ironed over seams some of the Teflon would rub off. So I scrubbed the Teflon off or all that I could get off. After I got the Teflon off it was a good iron. Lots of steam, never leaked, even dropped it several times.
Summary: Best iron we've ever owned. Bought three years ago and have had no problems. We iron a lot in our household and have never had much luck with any of the irons we purchased until this one. Even the more expensive irons have been a disappointment. Highly recommend this product.
Summary: This iron is heavy and well-made. My old Proctor-Silex broke and started leaking after a year of use. I like the 'extra steam' button. Copious amounts of steam come out of this thing, and the water reservoir is huge. The safety-turn-off timers do work, I tested them.
Summary: I don't undersstand the good ratings this iron has received, I bought this iron based on them and I'm very disappointed. In a few weeks the teflon coating is scuffed, there are some stains on the soleplate that I don't know where they came from.
