Summary: I like to iron pretty much everything I wear and was looking for something sturdy not caring on actual price. I've been thinking of a steamer but with so many mixed reviews, I was unsure on whether to take the chance. I went to different stores comparing the best possible iron and thought this was perfect with the iron/steamer combo. I also loved the style/color. What a disappointment.
Summary: I bought this iron/steamer thinking it would be great to have a steamer and iron in one. First of all the steamer part is a joke. The sole plate wouldn't even heat up. I may have got a defective one but I am sending it back and going with another brand. Good idea but it didn't work for me.
Summary: While this iron may be a little larger and perhaps just a little heavier it is the best iron I have every used and I am over 65. The steam really does take the wrinkles out and leaves your clothes looking steam-pressed like coming from the cleaners. I wish I had owned this when I was raising my children.
Summary: I purchased this iron five months ago from QVC for over $70. It worked fine at first but after several months of use the steam function wasn't as strong as when first used. It has the shortest cord I've ever had on any of my previous irons which were less expensive. If I could get my money back I would. I'm currently waiting for Sunbeam to send me a replacement iron since it is under the one year warranty.
Summary: The order and shipping process is always smooth! The item itself looked great, BUT when I filled it with water and plugged it in, it started making a "clicking" sound. I gave it a chance to warm up... The iron's steam setting button is pretty good, BUT the steam release button felt hard. It looks like it's a soft button, but it is not. During use, the iron I received shuts off every 2 minutes (approximately).
Summary: I just purchased this iron from Bed Bath & Beyond for less than $40 because I had a coupon. I have used the iron only one time but it works just fine. The steam works as stated with no problem when I ironed with it. I'm not sure why others gave it such low reviews but so far I like the iron. I have spent much more on two Rowenta irons and each one of those iron cords that plug into the wall gave me problems and that is why I had to purchase a new iron yet again.
Summary: I think this iron is so far going to do what I want. It goes go through a lot of water very quicky. It shuts off too soon while in the horizontal position. And WHY is it so noisy? I think it does steam quite well and gets wrinkles out okay. However, after reading all of the reviews, I am going to keep my receipt handy.
