  • Summary: The title says it all! I own a small boutique business and am extremely picky about the irons that I purchase. This iron is lightweight considering all of the functions, and works very well. I actually went through ALL of our fabric and ironed everything just to be able to use it! I would absolutely recommend this. It's held up well even with daily ironing. It's the first iron yet that has been able to keep up with me!

  • Summary: I bought this iron two months ago and only used it four times. The last time I used it, I was ironing cream colored linens when I see this greenish blue stuff on it. I looked at the iron and it was all over. I tried everything to clean it, even hot water and vinegar as they recommended and it didn't come off; it's permanent. You must make sure you are using bottled water in the iron (do not use tap water), and be sure to self clean it after every other use.

  • Summary: Bought this iron less than a year ago, and it eventually just stopped working. Has an auto shutoff which would be nice if it worked correctly. Would shut off while ironing and it can't be turned back on without unplugging it for 5-10 seconds and the plugging back in. What a pain!

4 Months of use before heat decreased and steam started spitting water

Carsonius "Carsonius", Amazon

  • Summary: '4 Months of use before heat decreased and steam started spitting water' Like another reviewer I was 4 months into the use of this iron when I pulled the box out of the closet to inquire about my product registration and warranty. It has a one year warranty that requires me to send the defective iron to Euro Pro, the maker of Shark--I pay to ship and send a check for 9.95 for them to send me a replacement.

Good iron

G. Cox, Amazon

  • Summary: We bought this at one of the big box stores and liked it so well that we immediately bought another for backup. It seems to perform as well as the high-priced brands, but at a much more reasonable price. Lightweight and well-balanced. We especially liked how quickly it heats up. The first one lasted about five years with fairly heavy use. For the price, I consider that good service. We'll buy another.

Caught Fire

txmzwhiz, Amazon
21 February 2014
  • Summary: Had for about a year and worked OK - had better and have had worse. Today it caught fire and burned up. Fortunately I was there and got it outside before it could cause any damage but it was still smoking 30 minutes after I pulled the plug. Read all the reviews for Shark Customer support and realized calling them was a waste of time - but I won't buy another Shark product of any kind and would not recommend one to anyone else.
