Summary: I am overall pleased with this iron. It's temperature settings seems to be right on the mark and I like the retractable cord, although, it is somewhat sticky about retracting at the end of an ironing session. The iron performs well and glides easily over all fabrics. The design of it is very good and it seems to take me less time to iron shirts because of its design.
Summary: A year and a half ago I tried my friend's inexpensive Black and Decker iron while visiting for a long time and found it to be the easiest iron I had ever used, particularly because there was virtually no friction between the plate and the fabric I ironed. Unfortunately I failed to buy one quickly enough when I got home and by the time I did, Black and Decker had changed the model and it didn't work nearly as well.
Summary: Did not like this and I am sending it back. I was very disappointed, but maybe I just got a bad one. It doesn't steam the way I thought it would. I also am not sure that I like the retractable cord. It makes the iron less stable on the board and if you bump the board even just a little it threatens to fall over.
Summary: The Rowenta DW2090 Iron is one of the best irons I have purchased. It's variable steam settings are perfect for ironing shirts. It's comfortable to the grip and love the automatic cord reel since most irons I had always end up with defective cords when folded up.
