Summary: We don't have a lot of ironing needs, but occasionally we do have to iron. This seems to be solid and does the job fine. I appreciate the self storing plug. My only complaint is that this is NOT a German made iron. This is, like many other things, made in China. So if you are trying to avoid purchasing "made in china" you'll have to look for a different iron.
Summary: I bought this iron, because I liked the idea of a retractable cord. Unfortunately the function does not work smoothly, it is noisy and can take a few attempts. I also found it top heavy. Ended up upgrading to the Rowenta Focus, very pleased with it.
Summary: I like ironing and when you get an iron that actually takes out the wrinkles without a lot of effort then you really have something that works. This iron does that and more. I can either steam or spray from the same unit. No more spray bottles. DEFINITELY recommend this iron.
Summary: So I just recently purchased this for my mom since her old one died or the cable gave out. She had her old Rowenta for 6 plus years and wanted the same brand, I went with the retractable cable since that is what was damaged on her old one. And so far so good. I've used it a few times myself and it irons great. I would recommend this to others but we will see how the retractable cable feature is what others complained about.
Summary: I'm getting used to my new iron. It is doing it's job but it's a little quirky in that you really should hold the cord and retract it a little at a time or else the cord could get twisted and that is when you could do some damage to the cord rewind mechanism inside. I am very careful with doing this each time I use it. I am crazy about the retractable cord and want it to last a long time. I was happy with the price I got on Amazon as I have seen it priced higher.
Summary: It says on the box that it has an "anti-drip" feature. Well, the iron dripped all over the first shirt that I ironed. My previous iron was a Rowenta. I had it for more than 10 years with no problems. Extremely disappointing.
Summary: I purchased this iron to replace an old Black and Decker that died. I wish I had read all the reviews first. The iron never gets hot enough to iron my cotton clothes, so I will not be able to use it on linens, either. The iron seems to cycle on and off constantly. That may be for temperature control, but I don't like that. Little steam , too cold. And the retractable cord does not retract. I fight with it.
