Did not even last a month - broke after 2 shirts and a set of curtains
24 May 2015
Summary: I had a Rowenta iron for over 10 years and it worked great so I thought this would be a good choice. My husband ironed a few shirts and I ironed a set of curtains. It started leaking water and I noticed that the body of the iron (the white part near the heel of the iron) had cracked open.
Summary: I purchased this iron about 6 months ago. It worked great for the first few months, then I started noticing small spots on the platen that turned out to be rust on the stainless steel platen that should not rust. A few weeks later the iron started spitting brown rusty water while ironing.

Summary: This is a great iron. I have never had an iron that performed better than this iron does. For all those people who left negative feedback about this iron because they claimed that it leaks I would say to them: "of course your iron leaks. That is because you are using it wrong.
Summary: Purchased a remanufacted Rowenta DW 2070 made in China from a discount store for around half the discounted cost. The Iron was probably one of the returned irons listed here. I like this iron, but most of the complaints are about cost for a dripping iron - so I am addressing those two issues.
Summary: I've been using an old travel iron that I inherited from a friend, so my standards were admittedly low. This iron, though, has been a game changer. The precision tip lets me get into hard to reach areas and get wrinkles I would've previously had to live with.
I thought it could not be that bad and decided to buy it anyway

Summary: When I read other comments about this iron leaking, I thought it could not be that bad and decided to buy it anyway. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THIS IRON PASSED A QUALITY TESTING BY THE MANUFACTURER. I have had irons in the past that leaked drops or a small amount of water.
Summary: This is not your mom's Rowenta. Cheaply constructed, it leaked almost immediately. Auto-turnoff kicked in constantly, whether iron was moving or not. Selection dial made of cheap plastic and settings are not clearly marked. Either got too hot (ruined a shirt ) or too cool.
and is still the best steam iron out there to get out wrinkles

Summary: I thought my sister was whining when she complained about her iron spitting but then mine began to do the same thing. It oozes massive amounts of water in the upright position and when you try to clear it out and then begin ironing again, it just soaks the clothes you're ironing.
Summary: This iron has lasted longer than my previous 3 or 4 irons (which lasted 6 months to a year). I am a professional seamstress, so my irons are used daily & subject to far more wear and tear than basic household use -- or even hobby use, probably.
