Summary: what the hell is Rowenta thinking!!!!!!!! I had the original one for 15 years it finally died..I ordered a new one HORRIBLE ruined a beautiful silk blouse...spits water all over everything..Just received the IRONMAVEN!!! $399. but will last for years .and is used by all the professionals!
Summary: A friend recommended this iron. I love to sew, and iron my pillowcases (don't judge!), table linens and occasionally my husband's dress shirts. I have never ironed with anything this amazing. Constant steam (as needed), and what seems like an unlimited tank. I enjoyed it so much, I went through the house looking for more things to iron! Crisp and sharp.
Summary: Owned a Rowenta Expert for over 10 years and LOVED it. So when it came time for a replacement I thought this was it. Not so. I still like having a separate tank but with this model you must let the iron cool down before refilling (a pain in the middle of a sewing project). Also, every time you turn it on you have to "purge" the condensed water from the line before pressing the steam button or you will splatter all over your garment.
Summary: I bought this for my wife because she is never happy with the irons she has gotten in the past for one reason or another. The last Rowenta she bought was top of the line but then after 6 months of so it started leaking water all over. I thought I would try something totally different. She does like this one much better and you do not have to keep filling the tank with water all the time which is a big +.
Summary: It looks great, what could go wrong? Well, I only used it for household ironing, once a week. So by the time it started to malfunction, the return period was about a month or two passed. First, it stopped taking water. It acted like it was full of water when I tried to fill it, but would not put out steam for very long (maybe 15 mins) when at first it would last maybe an hour and a half.
Summary: An iron and steamer in one and so easy to use. I knew this iron was fantastic from my mom but my husband was a little intimidated of it. When I finally let him try it out, he loved it! Fantastic buy!
