Summary: I researched for a very long time before spending my hard earned money on what some would call an extravagance. I know that ironing is not as popular as it used to be, but I'm almost 59 yrs old and I still don't like wrinkled clothes for me or my husband. We both work in an office setting and want to look our best, so yes, I iron our clothes, instead of just throwing them on straight from the dryer and out the door.
Summary: Have only had this iron a short time but love it so far. Being able to disconnect the auto shut off is great for sewing and the steam is amazing. I do have two cons but they really are not a problem for me. One is the color of the water tank. Makes it difficult to see the water line. Second con is that the iron is very heavy. Would highly recommend this iron, especially if you are looking for one that will continuously heat.
Summary: This iron really puts out steam! It is also heavy enough so that you don't have to go over the same area over and over. I make quilts and I highly recommend this to any quilter. Quilters are really hard on their irons!
Summary: Irons that do not have auto shut off are rare. My wife sews professionally and needs an iron that doesn't shut off after a few minutes of inattention. Rowenta had been the brand of choice for many years. Unfortunately the latest generation of the Rowenta irons have a life of 12-18 months before they start to leak. We decided to try something different this time. The Reliable V100 is heavier than the Rowenta and has a very different balance.
Summary: I was so skeptical of paying $100 dollars for an iron, but it is worth every cent. I've tried hundreds of irons, traveling 40-50 weeks of the year and this takes the cake. There is a small motor that literally SHOOTS out a constant stream of steam, giving your shirts new life and vibrancy. It's sturdy and comfortable, with a rubber grip and large surface. I recommended it to my mom, my sister, and now all of you. This makes ironing less of a chore.
Summary: It never worked right, and now tonight after less than one year of use, it has gone completely crazy, water pouring out, steam won't turn off, sound like it may blow up! I spent a lot of money on this worthless piece of junk. So mad, I could have bought a $20 iron from Wal Mart and could have replaced it every month for a year with what I paid for this!!!!!!
Summary: This iron doesn't have steam come from the bottom plate which I thought would be a real plus. It tKes quite a while before it really gets going and presses real well. It is heavier than I expected, too. I think I may learn to love it, but now we are just getting used to each other.
Summary: This iron ruined my tablecloth, $360 dress and napkins. Out of the blue, the iron gushed out coffee-colored liquid. Do not purchase it. I contacted the company, and the company told me that it is my problem, not theirs. I am thinking of taking legal actions.
