Summary: This was a replacement iron for a different model, and after several weeks of use is serving nicely as a basic iron. Not too heavy, easy to use controls, reasonable price. Cons are, 1) it's easy to move the temperature dial when picking the iron up. 2) doesn't leak, but will occasionally over-steam resulting in small wet spots. 3) the auto cord storage feature only works for half the cords length... the remainder has to be pushed in by hand.
Summary: Not a great iron, but a very good iron. It is a little small as I was used to Rowenta. My biggest issue is that the water reservoir is almost opaque. That is idiotic and Panasonic's R and D dept need to be fired.
Summary: I researched for an iron for several weeks. I purchased this one. I love the retractable cord. It keeps it out of the way when I'm not using it. Great steam ironing. The feature buttons are easy to use. The sole plate is designed well. In the future, it would be good for Panasonic to make the hole for putting the water in a little bigger. It also dribbles water on occasion, but I'm not sure why yet. It may be a combination of what I'm doing with a specific feature.
Summary: Pros: 1. Lightweight. 2. Steam and water buttons easy to use 3. Retractable cord Cons: 1. Keep hitting the temperature knob when we grip the handle. We have turned the knob several times by mistake. The knob issue is enough to just rate this as OK.
Summary: The new panasonic iron is wonderful. It isn't too heavy, heats up rapidly and has a nice amount of steam. I am a quilter so I use my iron a lot. I love the rewind cord. I don't have a cord trailing around my quilting studio.
Summary: Bought this iron for my wife as the professional one I gave her 15 years ago failed. Read the reviews on this and several other medium priced irons and this one came up on top. She has been useing it for a few days and loves it. She sews quite a bit including quilting, garment construction. So far so good. Would recomend it. Also, I received it in jst a few days after ordering it and it arrived in great shape.

Summary: My mother-in-law recommended the Rowenta brand but that is pretty pricey....just wanted a simple iron without any bells and whistles. This iron does the job and it is a Panasonic which usually means it will last a long time without any problems. The retractable cord is a nice feature too.
