Summary: This is the replacement for my old fabric iron. It's lighter than many other irons, affordable, and feels very stable when stood on its end. The end rest is large and flat, and feels weighted. I use bottle spray instead of steam, so I can't speak to the quality of the steam with this iron. This is the first iron I've had with a retractable cord, and I am surprised about how much I like it.
Summary: Love, love, love this iron! It's lightweight, yet seems to do an excellent job at getting the wrinkles out. It slips over the fabric effortlessly, too. And the nose is perfect for turning up hems, etc. The retractable cord is also nice; I don't have to fully pull the cord out unless I want to, and it keeps the cord out of harm's way while storing the iron.
Summary: Fantastic iron. I decided to be an adult and buy an adult iron. No longer will I simply walk into walmart and purchase the $8 iron. Now, armed with this puppy, I can iron my adult shirts and adult pants.
Summary: Mostly like this, though the iron does NOT keep a steady temperature. Once the temp falls down past whatever setting you have it on, it pops immediately back into "heat" mode (a little red light goes on, I think) and then you've got to make sure it doesn't OVER heat whatever material you're working on. I ruined a synthetic by being a bit impatient and not making sure I had the setting low enough. Otherwise I love the retractable cord and the self-cleaning option.
Summary: If I would have bought this locally, I would probably return it. While it has some very nice features such as the retractable cord, quick heat up, plenty of steam the one thing I really do not like is the titanium soleplate. When I'm ironing it feels like the soleplate is dragging on the fabric and it even causes the fabric to bunch up. You have to iron very, very slow with this iron while continually smoothing the fabric with your free hand.
Summary: Item worked great for about 8 months before the spray button started to act funny. By month 9, a couple presses of the spray button and it would stay all the way pushed in. The amount of effort it takes to get any water out of the iron once the button is stuck in is crazy. Something either is wrong with the spring or the mechanism but the iron is basically useless because I can't use the spray function. Definitely expected more life for the amount this was purchased for.
