Summary: I have had this iron since Christmas and it just caught fire! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. If I wasn't near it at the time it could have burned down my house. Flame was about 4 inches high right at base where chord and Irion meet. Do you think I can return this?
Summary: Got this early last year and it was working great, until a few days ago when it suddenly shorted out (and blew my circuit breaker!). I opened it up to take a look and found a number of frayed and burnt wires in the handle section, and in the iron body.
Summary: I purchased this Iron for Mother's Day in May 2009. 2.5 years later it would no longer stay powered on. Although the iron worked great until then I feel when you are spending over $150 for an iron I would not want to replace it every couple years.
Summary: Not only did this product not hold up - worked for less than 1 year with minimal use, but requests for service help were a disaster. Small things began to go wrong almost immediately and continued until it was spewing hot water from every seam.
Summary: Before I purchased this DiLonghi compact PRO 300 I read the reviews More than several stated that the iron spit/sputtered all over whatever your ironing. I bought anyway and sure enough it spits and sputters.Sure the directions say this may happen if it sets for a period of time.
Summary: This is my third try at this iron. While it works, it is truly wonderful. The first one lasted about 2 years. DeLonghi replaced it with no problem. The replacement lasted less than 1 year. Both of them started leaking steam out of the reservoir and then the iron stopped heating.
Summary: I first used a pressurized steam iron in a sewing workshop and found it miraculous for excellent pressing, which is important for creating a professionally made look in home sewing. The model I used belonged to our teacher and was a decade or more old.
Summary: Good product overall, but the stopping gasket and the O ring (rubber part) that prevents steam from escaping are very cheaply made and broke after only 3 use. Called DeLonghi and they don't have the replacement in stock, plus it costs $3...which is a ripoff.
Worked great for about 5 months. Now it just spirts out water and does not heat up.

Summary: It has a really weak cord that the electricity and steam flow through. It is not connected well and eventually fell apart. It did work great for about 5 months. Time to figure out how I can get this fixed. Hopefully it will not have to become landfill.
