Summary: Bought it to do some birdwaching. I was very impressed when i got it, first because of its size. It's a very small and light fieldscope which is quite good for walking around. The zoom is great as well for what i want to use it and the image quality is simply amazing! Very clear, sharp image and the colours come out precise as well. I didn't have a tripod for it and couldn't find one on Amazon, however a normal canon or nikon camera tripods fit the fieldscope.
Summary: I have an angled version already and this straight version is useful in the hide and for hand holding, especially using the special stay-on case. The quality of the optics is of the best and can better inferior and often more expensive larger objective scopes
Good little fieldscope, but brutally expensive for what you get.

Summary: I bought this to replace my (lost) Mighty Midget, expecting it to be a good bit better, but can't say I find it so. I reckon, for me anyway, the new MM3 will be as compact if a bit heavier, and just as good optically with the HD/HDF lenses, for a good bit less money.
Summary: This a tiny, light scope that initially looks and feels like a toy. However functionally it is almost or as good as the more 'serious' birding scopes. With a x27 WA lens the images are superb. Very portable ( perfect for flying with - as compact as a pair of bins ). The only negative that I can think of is that the protective case ( which comes with the scope ) is rather flimsy and has to be taken off to use the scope!
Summary: I bought this scope after using a friends. It's great and I thought that this was a great price. But it might not be the bargain you think it is! The scope in the picture clearly has an eyepiece and no where in the description is that fact that it ships without one mentioned! Other sites that sell these clearly state that you are buying the body only, or shoe a picture of the scope without an eyepiece or with the eyepiece greyed out. This site should do the same.
Summary: If you want a lightweight compact scope with good resolution then this is the one to get.I have even used it hand held to get a quick look at birds when the tripod was not to hand.It is also ideal for travel as it will fit in your hand luggage on an aeroplane.
Pros: Easy to Use, Excellent in Low Light, Great Resolution
Summary: This is the must-have scope for all birders who travel. Small enough and light enough to easily fit in hand luggage and teams up well with a compact 'travel tripod'. Very sharp and good light gathering power for a 50mm. Of course it won't do the job of an 82mm scope but that's not the point. Combined with the 27x WA eyepiece this is a brilliant solution for travelling birders. Travellingbirder!!!
Summary: If you are looking for a lightweight fieldscope I promise you will not be disappointed with the ED50. I fitted the 13 to 40x zoom on mine and the image quality is outstanding for such a small scope. I reckon I will use it for 90% of my birding.
