It's OK

Scott, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: The Field of View was smaller than expected and the eye relief wasn't great. No problems with the clarity. I ended up sending it back and buying the Vortex 15x50 HD binoculars. Has enough reach for my needs, bigger field of view, and got the tripod mount.
  • Pros: Compact, Lightweight

Excellent scope; very portable!

  • Excerpt: This scope is a replacement for an older device. The older one never made it out of the house, as it was too heavy, and the optics weren't great. Enter my lovely new Nikon, which has great optics, and is so very lightweight it is going everywhere with me.
  • Pros: Bright Eyepiece, Sensitivity Controls, Strong Magnification

  • Excerpt: Thoroughly pleased with this scope. I use the scope for bird watching and the clarity is very good. Easy to set up and to use and then pack away. All in all a very good purchase indeed.

Good Things Come in Small Packages

Birder Tim, B&H Photo
15 April 2014
  • Excerpt: My brother brought this scope to Costa Rica last year, and I was so impressed I had to get my own. I bought this scope primarily to use as a travel scope when space is tight, and as a scope light enough to take on long hikes. This scope can easily be carried onto an airplane in a carry-on bag.
  • Pros: Bright Eyepiece, Lightweight, Sealed Against Humidity, Sensitivity Controls

Wow

  • Excerpt: Christmas present so still new. It came much faster than expected and in great condition. I took it out to view waterfowl with other birders Mine was the smallest and lightest scope in the group so great for field work. I used it handheld and passed it around. Wow was the unanimous reaction.

  • Pros: Bright field of view, Compact And Light, Easy to focus
  • Cons: Eyepiece Is Angled

Great Light Weight Scope

27 February 2013
  • Excerpt: We are using this for birding. It is very light weight making it easily portable for hikes when we don't want to drag around a big heavy scope. It is a nice cross between binos and a full sized scope, able to be hand-held but more powerful than binos.
  • Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Waterproof
  • Cons: No On-scope Case, Slippery To Hold
