Nice compact scope

  • Excerpt: This scope was bought to carry at times when I didn't want to carry my big 95mm spotting scope. I was very pleased with my first view through it. The images are brighter and sharper than I had imagined they would be. It's a nice compact package.
  • Pros: Bright Eyepiece

Minox MD 50 W Spotting Scope

  • Excerpt: Great compact scope overall. I was torn between this and its brother the MD50 (straight thru)as the near focus distance for the MD50W is 30feet while the MD50 is 16 feet, but chose the "W" for the angled eyepiece. WE (me and the Mrs) use it for birding and digiscoping mostly at lower powers. Super compact, light weight great optics mean we will use it more than larger heavier scopes. Travels wells.
  • Pros: Great optics, Lightweight Portable, Super Compact
  • Cons: Stiff Focuser As New

Great Compact Scope

  • Excerpt: I bought this scope to replace my old 20-60x60 spotting scope kept in my Archery case, the old scope took up too much room. The Minox 50 is so small and light, it fits perfect. I was suprised at the clarity of image, much better than what i am used to, its the perfect archery scope for me.
  • Pros: Bright Eyepiece, Good Colour Rendition, Very light
  • Cons: Focusing A Little Stiff

Compact, light weight and clear

  • Excerpt: Whilst I haven't had this product for long, it would seem that it is going to be an excellent purchase. The disadvantage of having a fixed position for the eye piece is outweighed by the advantage of the small size of the scope. When used with a tripod with a swivel top this disadvantage is overcome.
  • Pros: Clear, Compact, Light weight
  • Cons: Fixed Eyepiece Position

A Must have

  • Excerpt: Have only been hunting once since buying this spotting scope.Saw what I thought was a small mob of pigs about 6-7oo yards away.My 9x rifle scope made them out to be black dots still thinking they were pigs I got the spotting scope out and soon saw that it was a small group of Turkeys.Saved a lot of walking and stalking. The scope is small enough to carry in my day pack and no need for a tri-pod as a tree or fence post will do to steady against.Good optics the turkeys were...
  • Pros: Light weight, Strong Magnification
  • Cons: New adjustments stiff

Great Compact Spotting Scope

  • Excerpt: Bought the MD-50 as an alternative to taking a full sized spotting scope for hunting. It takes up a lot less room in the pack, but the best feature is the weight savings. It is also very sharp for it's small size. Overall a great product.
