Excerpt: Happy with this purchase; I primarily use it for birding and astrology viewing. I have attached a Canon 70D and have gotten some great shots of the moon and Jupiter. I like the clarity of the lens...it does fuzz out at max zoom but rarely need to max it. It focuses very quickly but does require a sturdy tripod...no cheap wannabe for this baby. I can read the expiration tag on a vehicle license plate at 400+ yards.
Pros: Accurate, Adequate Power, Clear , Easy To Adjust, Easy To Install, Rugged
Excerpt: This scope was purchased to watch whales, shipping etc. from our living room. Our home is near Byron Bay, N S W Australia, and is set back from the coastline about a mile on a hill and therefore we need a reasonably powerful scope to see things effectively. We are very happy with its performance (which we need at full zoom), especially with the 100mm lens. With this type of use it is absolutely necessary to have it mounted on a good tripod, which we have.Altogether, great...
Pros: Accurate, Adequate Power, Clear , Easy To Adjust, Easy To Install
Excerpt: I use this as a terrestrial telescope with some casual astronomical observing thrown in. I've owned some large, expensive telescopes, so I was curious how a sub-$ scope would do. The answer is: more than adequately. Yeah, the image starts to get a little fuzzy at the highest magnification, but it's still pretty good. Atmospheric shimmer is a bigger problem.
Pros: Adequate Power, Clear , Easy To Adjust, Easy To Install
Excerpt: After searching high and low for a good spotting scope, I finally found one! This scope is amazing! I have used Leapold, Redfield, and Alpen, which all are fine scopes but, when shooting at 400 yds it is extremely difficult to see your bullet holes in the target. My new Celestron 100mm lets in so much light and is crystal clear, that seeing my shots is a piece of cake. The wide view you get with a 100mm lens is amazing.
Pros: Adequate Power, Clear , Easy To Adjust, Rugged
Excerpt: I just bought a house with a view of the Pacific and Agate Beach in Oregon and wanted to be able to check out fishing boats (coming out/going into Newport Harbor) and other things such as birds and surfers. This scope works well for everything. While it is a little light built I think that would be an asset if I decided to carry it somewhere (it does come with a nice carrying case).
Pros: Adequate Power, Easy To Adjust, Easy To Install, Price
