Much better the Ultima 80

Fernando, B&H Photo
28 September 2015
  • Excerpt: First I get the Ultima 80 to watch the mountains from my balcony in Santiago,Chile and I start to watch the moon and some planets (Jupiter and Saturn looks small but very sharp and clear) and I liked so much that I want to improve it so I sell it and get Ultima 100.
  • Pros: Easy To Adjust, Easy To Install
  • Cons: Blurry All The Time, Inaccurate

  • Excerpt: I got this scope to replace a cheap x40 power scope I had for viewing rifle range targets. 100 yards is fine and the color & sharpness much better. The scope came with an offset for the mount which greatly improves the balance.
  • Pros: Clear , Easy To Adjust
  • Cons: Lacks Power

Just what I was looking for

Jack D, B&H Photo
8 September 2015
  • Excerpt: I purchased this scope for multiple reasons. Mostly for using at the shooting range, but also for other uses including as a lens for my camera. I am extremely pleased with my choice. First use proved that the image is clear and bright even with the low light conditions at dusk.
  • Pros: Clear , Easy To Adjust, Rugged

You Get What You Pay For

Mark, B&H Photo
7 September 2015
  • Excerpt: I previewed this scope at B&H and was impressed, after receiving mine as a present from my wife, I was disappointed at the image quality on any Zoom setting other then the lowest. Also the image even on the lowest setting blurs on the outer edges of the field of view. It is what it is...

Works well with a little practice

12 June 2015
  • Excerpt: I ordered this for primarily for digiscoping, but I will use it at the range too. There is a little learning curve for photography, but it worked better than I ever expected. My photos of the moon and of the planets are working out well.
  • Pros: Adequate Power, Clear , Rugged

Save your money...

Joe A., B&H Photo
11 May 2015
  • Excerpt: Bought one of these new, old stock. Doesn't focus on a 100 yard target. Thought it was my eyes, but had my 16 year old look through it and say "Dad, the other spotting scope is better", which was a $ knock off I had. Unreal, Celestron completely blowing me off on this hiding behind the no receipt.
  • Cons: Inaccurate

Great Scope!

19 December 2014
  • Excerpt: I use this scope when I volunteer on the weekends to help people view the bald eagles who winter on the Delaware River. It provides a close up view of eagles perched on trees. As someone previously mentioned a good tripod is necessary because of its size and weight.c

  • Excerpt: The one star rating is not given to B&H. The service of B&H is second to none. Looking for a spotting scope for a while. After reading some reviews, I purchased the Ultima-100. Thanks to the great service of B&H, package arrived in 3 days.

Excellent product/purchase/price

Shermn8r, B&H Photo
9 May 2014
  • Excerpt: Happy with this purchase; I primarily use it for birding and astrology viewing. I have attached a Canon 70D and have gotten some great shots of the moon and Jupiter. I like the clarity of the lens...it does fuzz out at max zoom but rarely need to max it.
  • Pros: Accurate, Adequate Power, Clear , Easy To Adjust, Easy To Install, Rugged
  • Cons: Heavy
