Summary: I bought this card as a replacement for faulty onboard sound on my Dell tower using Windows 7. This trust card does give some sound but the hiss makes it almost unusable. You can take a risk with this old card as it may work for you but my advice is to spend a few more pounds and purchase something a bit more up to date.
Summary: I set it up and installed the drivers but there was no sound. after checking everything it was set to mute mode.It eventualy got put right but i was dissapionted to find it had no line in jack socket.
Summary: Length:: 5:15 Mins Done the video showing what you get in the box and instructions. To clarify from my video, the disc is a cd-rom not a dvd disc. So will work in whatever drives you have. Connects via the PCI slot in youre computer, not the PCI-e slot. Very pleased with it, sound quality is better than what was built into the computer, recording quality as well from the microphone connecter is good. Not studio quality but for home and office use perfectly fine.
Summary: Bought this to replace on board sound card which didn't have 5.1 surround sound capabilities. Installed to Windows 7 and used disk provided to configure - no problems. Configuring the software requires a lot of tinkering get the correct settings but keep at it and you will be rewarded A really good buy for the price.
