Summary: A good all round sound card, complete with a small control panel application that would work well with an analogue set up. unfortunatley I was looking for a card capable of outputting 5.1 via the TOSlink optical cable to my surround system, this card does not allow for such a function. Still it fixed the buzzing I was getting from my mobo sound card. I'd also recommend downloading the latest (2007) drivers from Terratec.
Summary: Sound quality easily equals that of Creative Labs sound cards and installed in minutes. Easy to use C-Media software bundle to adjust your desired sound. Well worth the money. This neat little card soon sorted out a crackly sound problem that I was having with Windows XP and Drivers from Creative Lab.
Summary: I was devastated when my p.c couldn't locate my soundcard following a re-boot. But then I brought this and couldn't be more happier with it. It creates a whole new sound along with a program to have extra control over the audio effects. You can do just about everything with it recording wise and connect quite a few outputs too.
Summary: I ordered this sound card to replace the one on my computer as I needed 5.1 supply for my speakers. After fitting the card and testing, I found the only sound output was from the centre/sub woofer socket and none at all from the satellite sockets. I returned the card and fitted one out of another computer which worked perfectly.
Summary: Terratec Aureon 5.1 PCI Internal Surround Sound Card EXCELLENT INTERNAL SOUND CARD WOULD ADISE TOO BUY NO PROBLEMS SOUND GREAT ONLY THING YOU HAVE TO IS USE THE CD DRIVERS THAT COME WITH PRODUCT INSTALLED IN A MATTER OF MINUTES.
Summary: Just about OK. I bought this for the optical S/PDIF output which as lacking on the mobo, however the digital output configuration only offers 48Khz, so all lossless CD rips are resampled. Does support WASAPI in Vista with a 48Khz stream, I used foorbar2000 to resample lossless rips. Device driver hasn't been updated since 2007, which speaks for itself I'd say. All in all, the Realtek on the mobo was better.
