Line6 guitarport 4 year review -why you should own one
26 January 2010
Summary: I've owned the GuitarPort for over 4 years now. In this review, I want to share my views of why you should own a guitar port even if you have a decent amp, nice effects and good microphones. 1. Good software and hardware It's reliable, Line6 are continuously doing support for this product even after so many years. The software bundle is easy to use and very very fun to play with the different effects.
Pros: unique product and a gem for ameteur guitarists, acts as a good external sound card, small
Summary: I've owned the Guitarport for way over a year now, and it still impresses me. Put simply, this is a digital multi-fx pedal that runs through your computer, and its possibilities are pretty much endless. As mentioned in other reviews, the user is able to choose an amplifier (with easily recognisable, but not copyright infringing names), and each one sounds near perfect to me. The you can choose your cab, again each one has it's own unique and accurate tone.. ...
Pros: Price, PC Recording, Many Tones, Intuitive Software .
Summary: I have used this for a year now and prefer using this to my small practice amp. The sound quality is great, not as good as the real amps but good sound when used through a cd player or an amp. The range of sounds is excellent and has all the sounds that you could be needed by most people. The effects on this amp are also good quality. This product is great value for money and is worth the £100 i payed for it.
Pros: Great sound, great price and good for recording
Summary: I bought my GuitarPort Rifftracker Package a little over six weeks ago and have given it a lot of heavy use since doing so. I feel that all round this is a superb product packed with excellent features at a great price but at the same time lacking some of the features that would make it a more long term recording option.
Pros: Great Price, Easy Use, Excellent Design, Super Sound !
Summary: Guitarport is basically an external sound card that connects via a USB port; you then plug your guitar into it using a standard 1/4" instrument lead. Installing the line6 Guitarport on to your PC is an absolute doddle with clear on-screen instructions that make it fool proof. Once your up and running it offers a great amount of tonal flexibility.
Pros: Fantastic sounds and a great learning resource
