Summary: A 'sound' Sound Card! Well built. I like the cover/case it has. All metal and protects the 'guts' very well. I was amazed at what I have been missing for years now. I have not had a true Sound Card in 10 years. My last was a SB Live I 'think'. Been so long...
Pros: A Very Good Sound Card! I like buying 'Discontinued Items' like this. This is about 4 years old Tech Wise but, so what.... It is still an Up-To-Date piece of equipment for a PC. I chose the Fatal1ty Pro because of the case over the one that is $20.00 cheaper. NOT for the little LED light either. ...
Cons: Of course the DRIVER ISSUE! I downloaded the latest ones I could find from Creative. (2010 approx) However, I have not installed them as of yet. I am still using whatever WIN7 (64bit) has. Seems to work OK but, I was getting Crackling Sounds in Skyrim when I changed them to DVD or Studio Quality....
Summary: The front panel connectors are not compatible with standard cables from my case (Corsair 600T)
Pros: Sounds great and it lights up for extra bling.
Cons: Expensive and has software issues. When you switch modes from Gaming to Entertainment (vice versa) the sound cuts off and you have to reboot. Tech support told me to re-install the card but that didn't work. I just have to deal with it... I was also having issues with hearing buzzing sounds but t...
Summary: The software should never be a concern and it really isn't. It just is for those who are too, how do I put this nicely, lazy to get onto the internet and download creative's latest software for this particular card, but instead use the cd that came with the packaging.
Pros: Sound Quality, 7.1, and a digital out and in.
Cons: Maybe the price, but I got it as a shell shocker for about $80 and for that much it's worth every penny. The drivers and programs that come with this are not horrible but there is room for improvement for response time and startup time (running from a SSD and corei7).
Summary: This may help someone ... Windows 7 was getting 2 errors... Unable to detect hardware and O.S. not supported ... Took me installing into a PCIEx16 slot and installed fine using creative drivers
Pros: Been using for a day sounds are impressive
Cons: Over 2 hours to get a simple install to work
Summary: Everyone knows that Creative drivers are bad to the core so you just have to move past that and get this card for the sound quality. Flawless driver alternatives exist in the form of "XFI Support Pack 2.5" (Latest as of 12/24/11). Get it and you will see what XFI Titanium Fatality pro can do.
Pros: Superb sound quality, easy install, built in support for standard Intel HD front panel connector for Headphones and Mic. X-FI logo lights up in the case which is pretty nice eye candy.
Cons: Original Creative drivers, support for their drivers, their support in general.
Summary: Installed this on an MSI P6NGM board. Disabled the on-board audio in BIOS before installation, and so far no issues with the nForce conflicts previously mentioned. For those of you who like to display internals, the card's X-Fi logo lights up.
Pros: Better sound quality than motherboard's audio (Realtek). Also resolved an issue where VLC stuttered the sound on DVD's w/Realtek.
Summary: Only install the basic ( drivers and lunch ) for the card that came with CD. any other combination has ruined the exprince. and dont use the audio creation option i had worst luck with it so far even tho im switchin from another Xfi card by creative, i can tell the slighht diffrence with good...
Pros: * AMAZING sound specially for gaming * EAX 5.0 helps you pwn by audio processing sorround *my MkII headset actually shakes if bass is high *much better options compared to Xtrem audio * Xfi light stands out from all other
Cons: *worst drivers on planet, the most updated one is same as one on CD my card keeps going into slient mode and all creative support had to help me was "install drivers directly from cd" its like what on earth is wrong with them, they have signature product with amazing hardware and having bad drive...
Summary: Purchased from Newegg at a great price. I got a RMA from Creative Labs in March, 2011 and didn't send in the card until July, 2011. Creative accepted the return even though the RMA was 4 months old. They promptly sent a new card of higher value.
Pros: Excellant sound, price and easy to install software.
