Owned card for 4 1/2 years

Summary: It should be a solid all around card if your on Windows 7. Although who knows if Windows 8 will bring problems and if Creative would do anything about them.
Pros: Better then onboard for music, games, and movies - crisper highs and more precise bass are most notable, also positioning for games. Games that support EAX sound just about better then all other games. Im using A900 headphones though ASIO and foobar and this is a decent/good soundcard for music. ...
Cons: Went to static 2-3 times a week on Windows Vista (I had vista for 3 1/2 years and this problem was consistent the entire time regardless of drivers ) which was annoying. Creative never released drivers to fix it and it was/is a commonly known problem. Sometimes I could just switch sound quality s...
Summary: Avoid the bloated software at all costs. I just let the default audio control panel install and I don't plan on using the other nonsense unless I really have to for some circumstance. The only way we can make them care again is by NOT buying their products, esp at full price.
Pros: When the drivers don't suck, it works well. The thing is my onboard sound from my Asus P8Z68-V Pro seemed just as good on my SP 2500's for 2.1 if not better. With quad cores being the norm now nobody should care about the 1-4% cpu load for the codecs of onboard.
Cons: Ha well the driver Windows loaded could cause a noticeable high pitched sound whenever you would set the audio settings for "entertainment mode". To resolve this issue I had to download their beta drivers. The sound is clean now but what might be broken/not fixed that I haven't come across yet. T...
Summary: This card is AWESOME...if by awesome you mean locking up the audio when you switch modes. Once you settle on a mode DO NOT switch it! The sound will cut out and you will need to RESTART to get it back.
Pros: Makes music sound richer Games really shine Shielded for close gpu configurations
Cons: Software smokes monkey pole Ditto for drivers Expensive: price/headache ratio not worth it
Summary: I hope some drivers or an RMA fix this, I have bought other creative products before and LOVED them!
Pros: The card was on sale, sounds great, does PCI-e, and has a nice shroud with light-up X-fi logo. The sound is great, has lots of options, and most importantly, is a HUGE improvement over anything you'll find integrated on a motherboard when your needing a good gaming sound solution.
Cons: It caused BSODs everyday, esp. during long gamine sessions (hour or more)... This is not a good thing, considering the product was purchased for the express purpose of enthusiast sound performance in game. It even has the Fatl1ty branding, how much more game-centric could it get? It falls short, ...
Summary: If you plan to use this for a headset, get a USB microphone. I gave this a three because the sound is simply amazing. I don't consider myself an audiophile, but I spend enough time working boards in a sound studio to know good sound when I hear it.
Pros: This card sounds amazing. It pours out pure and crisp sound like there is no tomorrow. I got it for the sole purpose of running my 5.1 Psyko headset, and the sound is absolutely amazing. I used Battlefield: Bad Company 2 as a medium. The sound is far superior to USB options, and obviously far sup...
Cons: The input is absolutely horrid on this card. You have to change configurations within the Creative software and Windows sound panel, just to get it to function as a microphone input. I was unable to get three different microphones to function, no matter what I did. The Creative tech on the phone ...
Summary: Would've been 5 eggs if the software wasn't useless
Pros: -Great Sound -Looks Nice -Got on sale
Cons: Straight up awful software, took forever to install, outdated (though the new software is even worse). Dont even bother with the help that comes with it, it just shows you the features you should, but dont have.
Summary: great card, a little pricy, lots of features in the included software, also very difficult to setup figuring out which configuration will allow you to actually talk on the mic
Pros: sounded great and really enhanced listening to music and 3d surround sound in gaming
Cons: when i upgraded my system to windows7 x64 the drivers that came with the product stopped working whenever i used vent for a prolonged period of time. I went out of my way to find updated drivers but none of them seemed to work. I had to switch to my onboard sound. i havent seen anyone else witht ...
Summary: Testé sur un Sennheiser PC360.
