Might Have Been A Good Soundcard, But...

Summary: I was so excited to get my Creative sB Titanium HD sound card which shipped very quickly, but I really hate saying this amidst all the great reviews - the card had issues and I had to return it. It's well packaged and installation was easy though a bit time consuming for the full install. When I completed the install, the first thing I did was test out playback of existing music on my computer and was initially quite pleased with the robust sound.
Sounds great. But Creative has driver issues, as ever.

Summary: The sound card sounds great... when it works. There seems to be an issue with some systems where the "Speakers" output will disappear and "SPDIF Out" becomes the output device. This gives the effect of you essentially having no sound if you're using the analog outputs. It seems to happen randomly after a reboot (but can go for days without any issues). Some people have said it's related to 64-bit systems and others have mentioned systems with SSDs installed.
Summary: Creative didn't make the idiotic design decision to make the card incapable of having headphones and speakers connected at the same time. What do I mean by this? Well, if you have headphones connected to the dedicated headphone jack, the sound card kills the output to the RCA jacks rendering them useless unless you reach behind your PC and disconnect the headphones.
Great Sound but BE WARNED Drivers still have issues

Summary: Pros - Sound is great and I really do enjoy the THX effects as well as the EAX for gaming. Cons - I don't understand why there are so many praises for the card when DRIVER issues have still not been SOLVED. I've reinstalled the drivers using Driver Cleaner for a clean uninstall but even with all the drivers I've tried, PAX, 2.0, and 3.0 drivers I still get problems when SWITCHING AUDIO modes.
Electromagnetic Interference Ruined the Experience

Summary: This product is probably made of the best commercially viable components for a sound card. It has very good opamps, RCA plugs, etc... a very attractive card, specs-wise, particularly for an audiophile. I was very excited to read its reviews and bought one with much anticipation. Unfortunately, I encountered a huge problem with it. In short, electromagnetic interference (EMI) killed the deal for me. Audiophiles, being audiophiles, need to listen to details.
Beware if using Nvidia 780 chipsets and SLI with this Sound Card
25 June 2011
Summary: I Have a ASUS Striker 2 motherboard and 2 aging 9800 GT's in SLI and even though i read through many reviews i think a lot of the problems with this might had been due to conflicts of motherboard chipset.the I\O panel works fine with 1 video card installed and does what can be expected of it but some features disappear when there is 2 video cards and it does or does not matter if they are actually in SLI or not but if there is two cards the I/O panel does not work quite...
Summary: This card works perfectly under Windows XP ... If you are planning to upgrade to Windows 7 ... wait until Creative and Microsoft come up with drivers for the recurring cracking, stuttering, and extensive sound problems they're having this and the HD card ... this happens with the 64 bit windows 7... Other than that it has beautiful sound... I have my computer dual booted withe Windows XP Professional and Windows 7 64 bit...
Summary: I decided to go for this card due to its 192 KHz sampling, which is the highest among Creative Cards, and also because Amazon simply had an IRRESISTIBLE price on it for the Cyber Monday weekend! It is incredibly easy to install and it has many features to use. The front I/O panel is a pretty cool addition that keeps volume controls at arm's reach.
