ASIO Not Fully Supported - says CS
11 May 2013
Summary: By RayT007 I wrote customer support yesterday on whether ASIO is fully supported by the ZxR sound card. The reply I got was that it wasn't, and that I should look to another card such as the Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD PCIe.
Summary: I don't know who would buy a sound card for the mic and or mic sound improvements, but seeing how much it costs, the poor performance in that area stand out all the more. Almost everything else is as advertised, greatly improves sound when upgrading from plain on board audio (which is what I had)and all that. The "never unplug your headset again" feature, which I found very attractive, is rendered moot if you do a lot of online gaming using Vent or the like.
Pros: -Excellent sound from your speakers and headset
Cons: -Poor mic, -Mic sounds awful when run through the ZxR
NOT BETTER THAN X-Fi Titanium HD Soundcard but EXPENSIVE

Summary: By CapCap I just bought this card to replace my X-Fi Titanium HD Soundcard. I play music and I need this the EAX 5.0 to enhance my feeling. I am really disappointed because this card does not give me the effects to choose for different environments ( Amphitheater, Concert Hall...etc). Without this feature I think this soundcard is useless to me. I also looked for support from Creative forum. Some guys posted same problems like mine but no one seems to care.
Summary: By Wintermute I have been using high-end SB cards for years, and when I decided to build a new PC this year I heard about this and thought, definitely! I had, however, read some early reviews of this that conflicted. Some said it did not support ASIO and some said it did. So I decided to be the optimist, figuring WHY would they not support ASIO on a product that is advertised as targeted towards music production?
