Summary: Basically, pair this thing with some good speakers (I went for Audioengine, pricey, but if you love music, worth every penny) and you will hear things in your music that you've never heard before. I work a lot at home and wanted the best music quality possible, and this thing delivers.
Summary: I wanted to improve the quality of sound sound from my computer, so at first I got the Soundblaster Zx and was amazed, but it fell short of a few options I really wanted. Instantly I knew I needed new speakers to support the improved sound.
Summary: Just loved the warm sounds from it. Been using via: 1.) RCA out to mixer and M-Audio MX8 D2 monitors. I used the monitors for a very long time with vinyl mixing. Hooking them up to high res audio via the ZXR's just blew me away. 2.) Game One for gaming 3.

Summary: Doesn't work. The product stopped being recognized by the OS. Even rebuilt with a new system and it still didn't work. Would not buy another Creative sound card until they prove to me that they work

Summary: The card is simply amazing, this is one of the few cards in the market that can actually drive a 600ohm headphone, sbx pro is doing a great job in virtual surround. Positioning is flawless, pair it with a decent open air headphone and the surround is perfect.
Summary: This was purchased as an upgrade to the Sound Blaster Z, which has performed quite well. I wanted this one for that little bit of improvement, and I'm quite happy. I have this paried with Grado SR325s, and Logitech Z5300s (although with space constraints in 2.1 mode).
Summary: I tried this on Linux. No go. It may have been my mother board. I installed it on a Windows 7 machine. What a treat. I'm now copying my CDs to wav files, not mp3s. Now if we could just get creative to write the Linux drivers that would great....
Summary: It's a great product when it works. I am running Windows 8.1 and its driver crashes every week. I have to re-seat the card and re-install the driver to have it back working. This weekly maintenance is too tedious. I have decided to return it.
Summary: GREAT SOUND CARD !!!! MAKE SURE YOU USE HIGH QUALITY CABLES TO CONNECT YOUR SPEAKERS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE SUPERIOR SOUND. EVERYTHING IS SOLIDLY BUILT AND WELL PACKAGED. NOT CHEAP BUT WORTH IT.
Summary: Do not buy this product!!! It is a total waste of your money. I purchased it for recording and it is not one millionth of the Sound Blaster that my old XFI Platinum card is and that card is now outdated for use on modern computers.
