Summary: I got this card in special to replace my 10 years old usb Sound Blaster MP3+, one of the first usb sound card. I must say this new card is incredible. I hooked it via optical to my Harman Kardon amp for my HTPC system and it deliver Dolby Digital and DTS signal without any problem. This USB form is really simple to install, you don'T have to open de case to install it. The driver was installer in less than a minutes and I was readdy to go.
Pros: Really good quality, fast and simple installation, volume knob+remote
Summary: It is a pretty nice one. If you need to get better sound for your home theater, just go ahead to get it.
Pros: There was no delay for my pick up order in Aberdeen Centre. I use this USB sound card for my laptop to connect to the 5.1 channel receiver through optical cable. Originally, the laptop connect to 55" LCD TV through HDMI, the optical cable send sound to receiver from TV. But it is only 2 channel signal. Now I can enjoy 5.1 channel by this USB sound card, it works very good so far.
Summary: i move around a lot so i need to keep things fairly small and portable. this fits the bill for my little home theater setup. now i can hook up some 5.1 speakers to my laptop and turn my room into a theater. i also bought some razer ferox speakers, which dont sound the greatest, and they benefit quite a bit while plugged into this sound card. it was almost the only solution i had for my laptop so im glad its as good as it is.
Pros: small, good sound, lots of settings, 5.1 usb for my laptop
Pros: - Nice design, - USB based, so works on a gaming or a laptop alike., - Can be taken when travelling, - Has headphone and mic jacks on the side, - I like the Volume/mute round button, its helpful., - Plug and Play
Cons: - I suggest putting Velcro on the back of it as its easy to have it fall down.
