Buggy buggy buggy!

brainout, Amazon
5 December 2013
  • Summary: EDIT, 12/07/13. Okay, tested installation on Windows 7 machine with no sound card, to see what would happen. Very buggy still, but at least it really installed. Over and over, in fact. For the installer immediately goes for updates BEFORE rebooting, so the registry is not updated for the software; so OF COURSE the newly attached usb thingy, won't be recognized. So the update always 'fails'.

Annoying static noises

Len, Amazon
9 July 2013
  • Summary: This is not my first USB Creative Sound card product, but it will probably be my last. I first considered between buying this one and the Asus Xonar. I liked Creative enough that I decided to buy this one instead of the Asus one. The product itself is made attractively, looks solid and all, the sound produced is decent enough, but the most annoying thing is the static or weird squeaky noises that it makes.

A Constant Source of Frustration

Jeeze, Amazon
28 September 2012
  • Summary: When the conditions are perfect for this product to operate as designed, the sound is truly incredible... but many people will never experience that. Apparently, some internal component which should have been shielded, was not shielded... and so when the X-Fi Go! Pro is used with low impedance headphones, a very intrusive static noise is heard at lower to medium volumes.

Sound not good enough

Creative
16 March 2012
  • Summary: By Michael 'De Smurführer' Thomsen Being no audiophile, I was fairly satisfied with this unit when using it with loudspeakers. However, when I started listening to classical piano music through headphones I noticed that the sound was actually quite dreadful. The bass distorts and creates annying high overtones. Not good enough. Now I'm buying the ASUS Sonar U3, which according to some online reviews is better. I wish I could afford a true high end unit. Oh well.

Bass notes "chirp"

Jacopo, Amazon
11 March 2012
  • Summary: The general sound quality is quite good, but unfortunately notes that are too low cause a very annoying "chirping" effect - basically part of the bass note turns out as high-pitched noise. I tried with several different headphones just to make sure (headphones that work perfectly well with other sound cards), fiddling with the equalizer and the other settings, and I also tried a replacement, but the problem is always the same. In the end I had to return the product.

  • Excerpt: Тестировалось на разных машинах, с драйверами и без, а также с различными настройками.
  • Pros: Компактность, бренд
  • Cons: Хорошо слышемый фоновый buzz. Ужастные дребезжание при проигрывании Музыки.
