Very Well Worth the money I spent on this. Hi Fidelity is very important .

Summary: I bought a very high dollar motherboard. But I need the best sound. Good enough for me is not good enough. I was desperate but with little funds. I checked all the discount sites but could not find anything to fit my needs. This Sound blaster does. It is high fidelity and Fast so it doesn't rely on the processor or a Chip Set to render half way sound. The sound is full and natural and Creative is my favorite budget Sound Card with HI FI needs. My ears hate bad sound.
Summary: By SpasticWarrior Upgraded and aging self made desktop tower from XP to Win 8.1. The on board sound card was the only non-compatible component. Easily installed, recognized immediately and operates as advertised.
Summary: Amazing quality. My mic is uder my speaker and it work anyway with perfecly clear voice! my headset is a rare 58ohms gaming and without ampli I can adjust the volume too loud. Easy to setup The scout mode for gaming works fine... The only deception I have is not hardware but software... I shall have wanted a way to separe easily the control volume communication software like skype, Independently of any games. But is always a problem anyway!
Summary: pure garbage. it does NOT support soundfonts or midi, like ALL prior SB products do, and when I installed the updates, the computer would not boot. Just a bios error beep. This product is also discontinued...I'm not surprised.
Summary: Best thing is the ability to switch between headphones or speakers by pushing button on front rather than unplugging/plugging. Front headphone jack stopped working after 4 months, but OK, don't like cords dangling on front of computer. Sound quality is good for gaming, but definitely not for the audiophile.
Summary: When ordering this card I was very excited for all the connections that were possible. I had intended to plug the 5.1 output into my Logitech surround, the optical input from my PS3/4 and optical output to Tritton headset. I had the intentions of either running output to the 5.1 or the headset, and having input from either the computer or the Playstation. This was not the case at all.
Summary: This is a really very good sound card, some people say that this isn't a good card for listen to music but I must tell you that those persons are wrong, I connected this to my LG Home Theater thru optical cable, I take my time with the THX setting, turn on the crystalizer about 42% and set the equalizer properly and now all my mp3 music sound great 5.1 digital, crystal and powerful sound.
