Best way to get True 5.1 Surround Sound on Xbox with TB HPA2 Headset!
3 January 2012
Summary: Love this thing. Seriously one of the best purchases I've made for audio tech. Especially for the price. I use it with my Xbox and Turtle Beach HPA2 Headset. The HPA2 has 8 drivers, 4 in each ear, which provides True 5.1 surround sound. I was using an Astro Mixamp however it only allows HPA2 to use 2drivers, Left and right, insead of surround. Extigy is the best way to get true 5.1 surround sound on Xbox.
Summary: I've been using this sound card since it was released. It's not hooked up to my computer anymore but instead to my TV. No software is needed, just a power supply. What an amazing product, the remote even still works!
Summary: Although this soundcard has been around for a day, I find the Soundblaster Extigy a great solution for my sound needs. Very affordable, but yet great sound quality. The external design and USB interface makes this soundcard an ideal candidate for laptops and people who are on the go with their sound equipment allowing you to easily interface into any computer and have your sound up and running in minutes.
Summary: I bought this soundcard too use a pc headset on my ps3 and have true 5.1 surround sound. Well it works but I received the card with the wrong power adapter so I had too spend [...] bucks for a new one on top of the 70 for the card. There is a short in front sound port I get little noise then wiggle it and it pops then I get the full sound. Overall good product would be great but alot of trouble with this one.
Summary: I use this sound card for my laptop since it's easy to setup. It sounds great and the installation process is hassle-free. Just put in the install CD and plug it in! An unexpected bonus is that it makes my games run a bit faster since the sound is no longer being processed through the CPU! It supports Dolby digtal, 5.1 surround sound and EAX Advanced HD. What more could you possibly want? I would gladly recommend this card to everyone, gamers and non-gamers alike.
Summary: I've owned my Extigy for three years now and, knock on wood, it's working just like the day I bought it. I use it to interface optical and coax devices with my laptop, and it has yet to let me down. I would recommend it unqualifiedly.
Summary: I have had the Creative Extigy for over a year, and I must say I'm extremely pleased with it. I use Creative's 4.1 speakers with it, and they work flawlessly and the sound is great. I can't think of many drawbacks for this device. It has practically every connection an audiophile could hope for. The only problem is the software... in that I mean that it is not updated for at least 6 months after the device is released.

Summary: I bought recently Extigy USB card, and I have a huge problem with midi. When I connect my midi controler trough this card, the midi recording is totally wrong. It changes rytms and records wrong music notes...does anybody know what`s wrong. Is it card, WinXP or maybe some settings?
Summary: I have owned the extigy for well over a year now and I must say I am very happy with it. I use it on a COMPAQ PRESARIO windows xp desktop along with Creative Inspire 5.1 speakers. I have used the Creative Recorder Utility to record scores of albums from my casette tapes and even from free streaming Mp3s available in the web. The Creative play center is not intuitive at all to use.
