Great Little Soundcard!
9 February 2014
Summary: By Craig Lindstrom This replaced my acclaimed HIFI onboard sound. What a difference this made! Sound is crisp, clear, and the software is powerful yet easy to use. This little card is super compact and super easy to install. Best bang for the buck upgrade I made for my new build.

Summary: By Robert M. Bahnsen Bought this card to upgrade sound chip on mobo. Disabled sound chip. Plugged card in, turned computer on, drivers installed automatically in Win 7 and I was listening to music in minutes. Did not use install disk since drivers were already in.
Instant upgrade over integrated sound for a great price!

Summary: By Dan I bought a brand new Dell with integrated sound. The Dell I was replacing from 2006 already had a Sound Blaster card and it sounded so much better than my new Dell with integrated sound.
Summary: By Marcie Install under Windows 8.1 perfectly. Sound for music is awesome. For games it is really good. Have played Dragon Age, Skyrim, Borderlands 2, Saints Row 3 & 4, and Kingdom of Amalur . You can hear every little sound crystal clear. This card totally rocks under Windows 8.1
Summary: By Frank M. Castro Jr. After having owned 5 or 6 Creative Sound Cards over the last few years, including the Titanium HD, Recon3D and few of the older models, this card stands out for the quality of sound produced.
Might not work on Win 7 64 in all your PCI-E slots, be prepared to try others!

Summary: Just to add some balance to the reviews for this item I thought I would put my experience on record! First of all, as some previous reviewers have stated, the software that now comes with Creative SBs is vastly improved in terms of how bloated it is with guff you dont need.
Great sound card shame it's NOT actually true 7.1 surround sound.

Summary: I specifically purchased this card for 7.1 surround sound. However it doesn't do full 7.1 instead it shares 1 port for both the side inputs. I am most disappointed about that. I am now stuck purchasing another sound card that does TRUE 7.1 surround sound.
Summary: ive not notice any sound improvement from my built in sound card on the motherboard, and for a dedicated sound card there should be, as always creative software sucks big time, on windows 7 on my system the audio control panel that comes with the drivers says its unable to find a supported card on...
Summary: I've been a user of Creative cards for as long as I can remember. After reading reviews I chose the RX for it's 7.1 speaker ability. It works just fine so no complaints. The card was delivered on time so all round recommended.
Summary: Pros + Nice build quality with gold sockets + Extra mic socket + Moderately small size (will fit directly under a NZXT Kraken with a Corsair H90) + Audio quality is good for the price Cons - Software is adequate but not great - Packaging is basic but again adequate Over all this card is really quite...
