Summary: i Bought the Creative Technology Sound Blaster 5.1VX. and I'm glad I did, It was easy to install and the software that comes with it its Great, I got more than I expected Like The Creative Wave Studio, Audio Control Panel, Media Source 5 Player-Organizer-Converter and the Audio Center which you add...
Summary: Sound card arrived promptly from seller, in excellent condition and packaging. Card fit very nicely, no defects and is running perfectly fine. Don't expect the latest in sound technology, but then again, my speakers aren't exactly cutting edge.
Summary: I got it to reduce some of the background noise coming from my headphones. I just guessed it was interference and moving the source seemed to have worked. However although it fulfilled this I did have some issues with surround sound, but with help from some software I have no serious issues.
Best in combination with the creative media that comes with it

Summary: I do like the sound card and do now tend to stick to the creative soundblaster range. I am influenced as well by the creative media organiser that come with it. Easy to organise you recordings and has a "record what you hear setting"
Summary: I wasn't happy with the Realtek HD Audio that's onboard the Asus P8Z77-V LX motherboard. I've used Sound Blaster boards since the 90's and they've always been reliable (time will tell on this one), the audio quality is spot on and driver support it great.
Summary: I bought this when I realised that my current system could not support my new 5.1 set up, the price is good but it only lasted 6 months before it died on me, but despite that i MIGHT buy another one as Sound Blasters are good cards and its not too expensive
Summary: its fine does what it says takes a bit to configure the surround sound but its there....I like the high/low profile converter bracket cant understand why you don't mention it as its a sales point of interest to potential buyers [very useful]
Summary: Used this to replace an expired SoundBlaster card. Reasonable value, except that I cannot get it to work with the 'record what you hear' from the computer sound system which I could with my previous card, using Nero WaveEditor.
