Going Cheap Doesn't Always Pay OFF

  • Summary: After installing this sound card, latest drivers, my computer started randomly locking up randomly for no apparent reason. After some online research, I found others had similar trouble. If I disable sound card, no problems for days. If I enable it, locks up again. Not happy with this purchase.

  • Summary: A generally good, cheap sound card, but a word of warning: this card has no "stereo mix" input. This means that if you ever want to record the audio coming from your PC (such as the output of a game if you're making a Let's Play video) then you're stuck. It is simply impossible.

Worth upgrading

  • Summary: it is much better then the motherboard sound and cheap to upgrade for the price . i also have xfi elite series. but this cheap one is sound the same as xfi as far i can tell. i only use headsets ,so no idea about external speakers sound quality.
