2014 and still sounds good
Sean W., Newegg

Pros: Picked this card up in 2005, it still sounds great. Its been in and out of use over the years, but I reinstalled it maybe six months ago. Once I found some good Windows 7 64 bit drivers I was off and running. Ripping some old music CDs to my NAS never sounded better. Well worth the money to snag ...
Summary: Creative support is horrible. they produced this card for over 3 years, yet only updated the drivers 4 times, and never fixed any of the major issues (such as bad hardware acceleration with Athlon 64's) I will never buy another Creative Labs product again.
Pros: it has many speaker outputs?
Cons: I had problems with this sound card in most of my games. Cons: Only fits type 2 and 3 card bus. The Creative Media Source sure could use an update, I still prefer Windows Media Player.
Summary: A wonderful product that, thanks to Dell, I am no longer able to use.
Pros: As a mobile DJ I love this card-- it is perfect for interfacing my laptop with different kinds of mixers, and with some software I can even use the surround output to monitor on one channel while the final mix is pushed on the other, or even run the sound out to a multi-channel mixer. Great UI, v...
Cons: Dell recently replaced my laptop with an exrpesscard slot-- DO NOT BUY THIS if you have a new laptop! All new laptops as far as I know come with ExpressCard slots instead of the older PC slots, and Creative as yet has no solution for these new slots. Adaptors exist, but are pricey and have very l...
