Not some unimaginable gift from god, but a great way to get your laptop up to speed.

Summary: Great tool for use with a laptop to enhance audio quality and allow a little extra control, at a perfectly fair price. Paid $40 when I got it, and I still think it was worth it now. I have no regrets, and have used my U3 without a single problem since first plugging it in more than a year ago. This is a very simple piece with little to no flair and very few features, designed for a single purpose, and it does that job quite well paired with my G74SX laptop.
Summary: I use this sound card for my job, since the office computer has horrible sound-card and was very noisy, this sound-card has much better sound beter resolution and works plug and play, didn't even need the drivers, i really don't mind for the dobly sound software or surround effects, i want simple stereo sound and for that it does an excellent job, on my home i have a xonar stx and its obviously better but since i cannot change the hardware from my job this is a huge...
Summary: This external sound card comes in a nice package and includes all necessary cables. It is rather large, and the fit and finish leave a bit to be desired. I wish the two silver circles on the front were volume control buttons instead of useless indicator lights. Overall, it serves its intended purpose well. Note: I will not be purchasing products with rebates from this brand again because the manufacturer did not honor their rebate.
Everything about this little DAC is impressive. Great value.

Summary: As a college student on a limited budget, being an audiophile can be really, really difficult. Audiophile-end equipment is extremely expensive. About a year and a half ago, I paid a substantial sum for a pair of V-MODA M100 headphones. The headphones are incredible, but as I came to learn, it's hard to run good headphones without the right equipment. One of the necessary things for getting high-quality sound is a high-quality DAC (digital-to-analog converter).
Summary: If you have a headset that doesn't have a usb connection, then you have to attach it to the controller for the PS4, which will in turn be too low of a volume(the sound is also poorer quality). That's where this comes into play. The sound is very nice, much cleaner and though the technology is iffy, I do notice the surround sound. Virtual surround sound is iffy technology to begin with, so don't expect the sun, moon, and stars here.
Summary: Sounds wonderful compared to cheap laptop on board sound 10/10 for that. However I am still not completely happy. I have all my settings on 1% and I am getting really loud sound(higher then I normally listen to). At 5% my headphones are as loud as possible. I Really am upset at this, small adjustments are impossible, I would rather have lower quality sound then unbearable loudness. Edit: Aparently the drivers on the disk when installed do not work at all.
Summary: I'm scoring this base off of what it is. A reasonable cost to performance upgrade from the motherboard sound. Which is exactly what it does. Is there better cards, I'm sure there is but not at this price and I'm willing to bet that what ever the other cards offer isn't worth the premium. This card is packed full of features and really adds some clean loud sound to the headphones(Senneiser pc 350 se).
Summary: I've had this for some time, and over time it has a certain level of driver instability and crackling the longer you have owned it. I have tried different ports, but I think I'm going to go with a different brand next time for a USB soundcard.
Summary: I'm used to loud music. I have a system in my car so I'm well-acquainted with music pounding in my ears. This thing makes my headphones SO loud. I usually have the volume set to around 8 (out of 100) and they're definitely loud. Purchased this as the headphone jack in my computer got chipped, and the sound through my headphones became distorted due to it. I think this is a great replacement.
Summary: Excellent product! I bought a $300 pair of headphones on sale for $40 and found that they only had a 35mm jack on them! My computer doesn't have such a plugin...so I bought this and used it as my bridge. Fabulous! The software that comes with it offers a lot of options for setting up the right sound for whatever you are listening to. I use it for gaming and WHOA! Amazing sounds! Highly recommend it!!
