Summary: Great sounding card, no complaints there. One big complaint: driver support. It appears that ASUS does not intend to provide driver support for Windows 10. For a company the size of ASUS that is pretty lame.
Summary: Like most I was in a bad spot and foolish enough to go for a quick fix and fell victim to the soundcard ads. It will make your audio louder but that's all. Also worth noting because of this your headphones will not be able to turn the volume down to silence. There will always be whatever is playing.
Summary: There are a lot of good things about this sound card, but the two issues I mentioned were dealbreakers. I had 2 months to try to resolve these issues (thanks to the Iron Egg guarantee) but couldn't, so I had to RMA the card for a refund.
Pros: Sound is great! Works fine for me with music, movies, and games. I plugged my guitar into the input and it sounded 100x better than my onboard sound. Also a very nice looking card.
Cons: Two major problems: 1. I can't get past an issue where I get BSODs (DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) upon waking from sleep. It only happens about 1 out of every 8 times, but I'm not willing to just live with a problem like that. I tried installing the most recent ASUS drivers and several versions ...
Summary: Like I said, this card is a gem, if you can get it to work. I think with my system it may be a compatibility issue, so I will leave my significant components so that someone else may get a better idea of whether or not the card will work for them.
Pros: This card is a gem, it has the potential to provide a near studio quality experience. For the price it could be a great buy (see cons).
Cons: Where to begin... This card has been an absolute nightmare to work with. After a lot of setup headache, I managed to get sound from it, but that sound was quiet (as if there was no supplemental power going into the card). It wasn't a power problem as the 4-pin molex connector was as tight as coul...
Pros: The sound this card put out is amazing, I am very impressed with the engineering of this card. just not everything else.
Cons: The installation of this card is absolute nightmare. I followed the instruction to a T and still had major issues. Not so much with the hardware, but the software. After installing the card is says a message should pop up on your desktop telling you that a new card has been installed. This does n...
Summary: Returned it. Happy with the eClaro (but the software sucks).
Pros: Easy to install. PCI.
Cons: Well, it's simply not up to the task compared to my Ht Omega eClaro. One way to describe it: the is a "veil", something obstructs the sound. It's just not the best card on the market for this price range.
Summary: My Sony DVP-SR210P sounds better than this soundcard streaming (lossless cd/vs lossless audio) In all my money spent on sound, I find that cd players. (regardless of price) will almost be the most accurate source and produce the most detail.
Pros: Most definitely an upgrade over Realtek On-board.
Cons: Recessed highs, overall "bright response" Did not like this sound signature at all. I bought this card to hook up to some HI-FI towers. (EMP Tek E55ti) Cleary my cd player was better.

Summary: In purchasing this I was under the impression that this card also can be used for an external surround sound setup, which turned out not to be the case in my situation. Its great for just a headset but that wasn't the reason I purchased it. Would have went with another card if I had known.
