Summary: Yet again Newegg.ca has won the day, promptly delivering a great product with an additional warranty at a great price! I've been shopping here for a long time and will definitely be back. Thanks!
Pros: The left audio channel on the standard channel from the on-board sound card on my mother board died and I was unable to fix it. My mb only had this pci port available and the other sound cards available were over priced (Could have bought a whole new motherboard at the competitors prices...). The...
Cons: This may be a factory restored model, but doesn't that mean that it's better than the "New" ones? As it has new and upgraded parts? Remember to be a smart consumer, as sometimes you can get a great deal on refurbished products without any loss of quality.
Summary: With sound cards, it seems to be that they are either excellent or terrible, not much in between. Same for their drivers. Great card for the price.
Pros: Great sound from this card. I have always had Creative sound cards and did not have many problems out of them. This is the first Asus sound card I have bought and have it paired to Klipsch THX speakers and the sound is great. Works great in Windows 10 and I downloaded the latest drivers for the c...
Summary: For competitive FPS gaming, surround sound is crucial to establishing the location of enemies. While most headsets offer surround sound emulation build in, their amplifiers are weak and since they are usb devices you cant just stick it into a headphone amp.
Summary: It started a few months ago, when I bought . I enjoyed using them plugged into my motherboard's on-board sound, but started to wonder if I could do better. I like that this card provides high quality amplified audio to the computer's front headphone jack as well as the rear, and that the two...
Summary: Great cheap card for gaming/movies/light music stuff. I use Sennheiser HD 598's with this card and they work great, sound is very good. Driver package for 8.1 is a beta but it hasn't caused me any grief so far.
Summary: this thing JUST WORKS. truly plug and play. you absolutelly do not need an expensive sound card. if you are going to spend say $150 on a xonar stx, you might as well buy a dac/amp combo and you will see the difference. no sound card is ever going to touch a similarly priced dac/amp combo.
Cons: 3ed party driver for Windows 10. The 3ed party driver works just find, however. No HDMI issues or optical audio issues after the drive. I like Linux- great to know that some companies are trying to dump windows and support Linux.
Summary: I bought this due to the defective sound component on a Gigabyte Motherboard (one channel didn't work at all). The sound and the control panel that comes with the companion software far exceeded my expectations as I chose this over a comparable Creative labs card.
