Summary: The quality of sound that can be produced by this card is amazing and I personally think it cannot be beaten. The card is really easy to install (Even for beginners). The only two negatives i can think of is that it produces a lot of heat and the lights on the inside are very unnecessary. The overall built quality is really good so its hard to damage it during installation.
Summary: Ordered the Xonar D2x/DT sound card as like everyone else I was sick of the onboard supplied sound that is really terrible, especially when gaming. Arrived nice and promptly and layered in packaging - so everything was in top shape when I unpacked it. Once removed from the box I plugged it into the floppy power connector and found a spare molex and the plugging in was complete.
Summary: Card is superb with sound and utilities, but the power-connector ( floppy cable ) is really fragile and will easily break off if you are the kind of pc user that move your equipment quite a bit in different builds, so that's why it get 4/5
Summary: Well i moved form a old soundblaster to this card and was a bit wary about dropping nearly £100 for a sound card i sually pay half that . well here goes I found the build quality very good plus a lot of cables for any audio device you could think off . the sound quality is amazing Depending on where your pci-e slot is you might have to remove your graphics card tp slot it in and them put your graphics card back in Also make sure you download the most recent drivers from...
Summary: Received this product over a week late and it was really expensive. Probably would not buy from this person again but I am glad to have the card, audio is crystal clear and hopefully I will not be buying a new sound card for a while. Two points to note that are not made abundantly clear: 1. this requires a floppy molex power source located at the front 2.
Summary: Bought this card over a year ago now and have been amazed at the very accurate 3D placement of sounds compared to creatives offerings, I wouldn't go back to a soundblaster even if you payed me, driver support for their cards is abysmal. One thing to be aware of though regards the Xonar and that it has been reported and experienced buy this user that problems with the EEPROM being overwritten in some circumstances especially when re installing the OS!
