Annoying beep for programming

Whitethunder, Amazon
17 January 2015
  • Summary: I do like this slow cooker, it's very roomy without being too large. My last slow cooker was so heavy to lift out of the pot, this one is light weight and I especially like the fact you can put it in the oven and use it stovetop.

This isn't your Mom's slow cooker - it's WAY better!

ramesess, Amazon
1 November 2014
  • Summary: Great cooker! My wife was hesitant to try this cooker because it wasn't the traditional ceramic pot style. She thought it wouldn't cook evenly, and probably burn on the bottom. That isn't the case at all. This cooks great.

Decent cooker but ultimately disappointed.

Scott Werner, Amazon
20 October 2014
  • Summary: Works very well but lost a star due to the lid not fitting properly. Have used slow cookers like this from West Bend for 15+ years and love them, this is a versatile slow cooker but the lid does not seem well made. Got food between the glass and metal banding that goes around the lid.

I have used your slow cooker for many years dating ...

Mother Hubbard, Amazon
6 October 2014
  • Summary: I have used your slow cooker for many years dating back to the 70's. One time we were on vacation on Christmas day in Texas. I found out that there would be no restaurants open on Christmas in the area. I went to the grocery store the day before and purchased a beef roast, potatoes and carrots.

Teflon delamination

K. Grygar, Amazon
2 March 2014
  • Summary: I purchased this slow cooker expecting years of reliable service. After the first few uses, the teflon inside the pot began to delaminate and fall into my food. I must now put a brown-in bag inside the cooking pot before I use this device to avoid contaminating my food.

West Bend hazard

Sandra Burkowski "(review by wife: Sandra Bur..., Amazon
20 January 2014
  • Summary: West Bend has always been a favorite company for kitchen electrics. I still use my 30 year old West Bend slow cooker and gave my departed mother's 30 year old West Bend slow cooker to my youngest daughter-in-law. I recently ordered a West Bend electric fry pan and so far so good on it.

Good at first - One year later: junk.

Corey Thomas, Amazon
8 January 2014
  • Summary: At first, this was a nice slow cooker. Easy to clean. After the first few meals, I noticed that once you turn it off, it loses heat quickly. That's probably because it's just a metal pot with no insulation.

This is insane!

luedtke, Amazon
26 December 2013
  • Summary: I bought this for my husband at Christmas! I thought that is was neat that it had three capabilities. I used it ONE time for 7 hours (slow cooking) the handbook states it can slow cook up to 12 hours on high. This was on low for only 7. The rubber stoppers inside were warped.
