Summary: The Hamilton Beach 33147 Programmable 4.5 Qt. Slow Cooker is an excellent Slow Cooker. I have used it and it is outstanding. I had this unit and it really does a good job. The food tasted excellent and was cooked to perfection. The programability of it as a very good feature.
Great smaller slow cooker: HB 33147 6qt slow cooker

Summary: I purchased this slow cooker because I needed a smaller unit. I have the larger 6 qt cooker, which is great when cooking for a full house (our adult kids with spouses and children). But for just my husband and I, this smaller cooker is perfect. I chose it based on reviews, and because it has the features that I was looking for. Cooked BBQ pork in it, and the meat was deliciously tender.
Summary: I was looking for a smaller crockpot to cook for two people, and this one is perfect. Works very well, easy to set and clean. Exactly what I wanted. The only thing I don't like is the wide lip surface that extends out from the front, obviously necessary to accommodate the electronic controls on the front. This surface gets very hot and is right in front at the edge of the interior crock container, so you have to use caution to not touch this hot surface.
Summary: Unit was easy to program and does its job great. The insert is easy to clean, but I recommend using a plastic liner if the insert is really filled up. Food was cooked through with no scorching, and the warmer feature does a good job after cook time elapsed. I wish they made it in a smaller size.
Summary: What a wonderful machine. Not only is its design absolutely beautiful with its brushed faux steel wraparound look and stark white trim. It's so easy user friendly. Set it and forget it. I love it. The style is contemporary, sleek and will fit any decor kitchen and it works like a charm. My next purchase is going to be the 6 qt. "Set 'n Forget Programmable" with the meat temperature probe. That will come in very handy for meats cooked to perfect temperature.
Summary: My old 4 quart slow cooker wasn't cutting it anymore, and I really wanted a programmable cooker because I've never been completely comfortable leaving a cooker going without an auto shut off point. I was eyeing this cooker (which also comes in black: Hamilton Beach Programmable Slow Cooker 4.5 Quart Cooks 4 Lb Chicken ) and Cuisinart PSC-350 3-1/2-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker when someone made up my mind for me and got me this one for Christmas.
Summary: I've owned this slow cooker for almost a year now. It's still working as great as it did when I first purchased it. I've cooked several different meals in this slow cooker including cabbage, Italian chicken, bbq ribs, chili, and creamed corn. The settings all work as you would expect them to. No trouble with the cooker not switching to warm automatically. The timer starts and ends when I expect it to. No leaking, no fuss.
Summary: In short this is simply a crock pot! The name can be confusing. Benefits from this one is you can cook a 4 hour meal on low and have it automatically switch to warm. My previous crockpot only lets you cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. It is a great size for cooking for 2 people and have some leftovers for the next days lunch!
Summary: as never-used-before such a thing,i can say it makes perfect stuffed peppers, lol.saves time to a new mom, that's for sure.just put everything in there, set time n forget abt it.the food comes out interesting,though...it's more like steaming..
