Definitely recommend this slow cooker to anyone

MoniqueSanford, Viewpoints

  • Excerpt: This slow cooker was purchased to replace a very old one that finally stopped working. It heats up so quickly and gets quite hot even on low. I have cooked thawed meats on low in an hour or less and have cooked a 3lb.
  • Pros: Easy to Operate, Variety of Uses

Happy hunting!

bennett scher, Amazon

  • Summary: Do not pay $200 for this item! The only main difference between this slow cooker with removable aluminum stovetop insert and the 6 quart version is that the 6 qt version has a timer, and this one does NOT. AND the 6 qt version (model 33567 or 33567T) is only about $60.

  • Excerpt: I am a total crock pot cooker! The Hamilton Beach 5.5 Quart Oval Slow Cooker Crock pot is wonderful! It's very large, super easy to use, and to clean up!I love to cook in the crock pot, because I can start my dinner first thing in the morning, cook it all day, and have it ready when the family comes...

Really nice slow cooker

Ray From PA, Amazon
21 October 2013
  • Summary: The features I like the most are the removable pan, which is nice for cleaning, the shape, which allows you to put long cuts of meat in, the warm setting for keeping food, the ability to brown meat right in the removable pan, and the cord holder underneath.

At First it was Great, NOW IT's JUNK!

SurreallyReal, Amazon

  • Summary: Bought this on Amazon for $56 in January 2012. Used it 4-5 times a year. It was convenient to brown meats and veggies and then put that into the base to continue cooking. Low generally was hotter than other slow cookers, but it seemed ok.

Terrific new design for an old product

Madeleine, Amazon
28 April 2013
  • Summary: I checked out so many slow cookers before I bought this one that my brain ached. According to the reviews on Amazon, a number of slow cookers were either unsafe or simply shut themselves off prematurely, leaving nearly raw, cold food sitting for hours in the pot.

Non-stick coating peeling off after 5 uses

John Burgett, Amazon
21 April 2013
  • Summary: I feel bad rating this slow-cooker 2 stars, because we really did enjoy using it. However, I want people to see the review. For the first 4 or 5 uses, this slow cooker worked great!

Great Crockpot

Becks, Amazon
5 January 2013
  • Summary: Performed as expected. It is a good all around slow cooker. I took off one star for the fact that the handle should be insulated. Make the handle insulated so you don't need a pot holder to lift the lid and it is a 5 star product.

Wonderful!

Amy, Amazon
25 December 2012
  • Summary: I don't know why I didn't always have a pot like this one! So convenient. It makes cooking so much easier. Easy to clean. My only complaint is that the handles get very hot. Be Careful when removing the hot lid.

Fantastic

Tessa89, Amazon
21 November 2012
  • Summary: I've had multiple slow cookers before but this is the best one ever. It's light weight, has a nonstick coating, and cooks evenly and at the proper temperatures. Clean up is a breeze - couldn't be more pleased with this. Will give another as a gift.
