Summary: I bought this to replace my old crockpot (which I used all the time...until I dropped it!). I love the handles on this thing - it makes transporting so easy! Everything else works just like you would expect a crock pot to. High, low, warm, off. Nothing fancy :) The very first time I used it, my husband took the lid off (unnecessarily) and put it on the stove top, not noticing how close he was to the lit burner...
Summary: I ordered this Hamilton Beach 7 Quart Slow Cooker because I wanted one that was BIGGER than my older West Bend 6 Quart; which is great, but not always quite big enough. When this arrived, I very carefully measured water TWICE to fill the crock. I wanted to be sure it would hold a full 7qts. IT DOES NOT!!! To the very top of the inner rim, it holds 6 quarts plus barely 1 cup. My good old 6 quart West Bend slow cooker does hold exactly 6 quarts.
Summary: Product came quickly. Large crock pot. Has a bunji type strap to hold down the lid... which is cool. I was not expecting any sort of hold down. This item is nice, the lid can sit back on the little bracket.
Summary: It doesn't have any bells or whistles (which means less to end up breaking imo), but it does a wonderful job. I can fit a lot in it, and I like that it has the option to keep things warm. Best of all, it's super easy to clean.
Summary: I love this cooker. It is oval, so I am able to fit large roasts in it. At 7 qts., It is large enough so that there is no leakage or spill over. I am petite, and the ceramic insert is not too heavy for me to handle. It was a dependable brand at a great price, and I intend to use it a lot. It has an attachment to hang the lid, which also serves to wrap the chord, and they even included a lid latch if you want to carry it out.
Summary: This one may not look quite as nice as the Cuisinart model - but it does a great job with a large capacity . By the way, the ceramic crock in this one fits the same size Cuisinart model at a fraction of the replacement cost.
