Summary: I have a 6 qt crock pot but decided to try the smaller model because I am cooking for one now. I have yet to cook anything (pot roast, pork roast, chicken) that isn't totally tasteless. The unit itself is quite nice so perhaps I'm just a lousy cook. I follow all recipe directions to a T but stuff still tastes lousy.
Summary: After 19 months of use the gift stopped working. I bought this as a replacement and hope for a longer life. I bought it so the old ceramic pot and lid would work with this. I use it very often, the programmable time and temperature is very handy. wish it would allow x time at y temperature and then xx time at yy temperature to give more flexible cooking options (like to bring to a boil and then simmer, unattended).
Summary: Love it! Replaced my original 90's "Crock Pot" with an updated model and it burned and boiled everything. Asked Crock Pot for advice, and even measured the temperature as they requested and my unit was not malfunctioning according to them. Took that one back for refund and replaced it with this one and this one is working perfectly! My friend has one of these too and also loves hers.
Summary: First off, it's huge even for the smallest size. But what I don't like about it is this: So far I've used it several times at 6 hrs slow cooking and it worked fine, but when I put very cold meat inside (recently defrosted) and set to 8 hrs, I woke up and find it having stopped at 5.30 hrs each time (happened three times) The dish was cooked. But it was scary to see it had stopped. And I don't understand why this is happening.
Summary: This is the ideal slow cooker for two people. The base is small enough that the liquid and protein in the average recipe are balanced and the protein doesn't dry out, as with small quantities in a larger slow cooker. It heats up very quickly----far faster than my large crock pot-----and the timer is intuitive and so very easy to use. The 'warm' button does keep things good and warm, not tepid.
Summary: Have had this for a while and it works but perhaps not as promised. This is decidedly not programmable. Programmable to me would include the ability to set a start time. You either have to be there to turn it on or buy and use a timer. Nice size though. Gave my large one away.

Summary: since buying this Cooker, I have had many amazing roasts the melts in your mouth. tremendous product, can set up in morning before work and come home to supper ready. Product cleans very easy and looks great.
Summary: I have used a slow cooker a fair bit up until now; however, it was the 'on/off' style and so I was a little limited, in terms of setting something up while I was at work. My new Cuisinart Programmable is awesome - you set the time and the cook setting and then - forget about it! A real help in the kitchen.
