Summary: Though I'm only 5'8", I bought this bag because I tend to "sleep big" and don't like the cramped feeling of a mummy bag. I am really happy with it. It's roomy enough that I've got room to roll over, stretch out, and even sprawl a little. The hood has a cord built in so that you can draw it in around you, if you like.
Summary: I bought this sleeping bag as a gift for a young woman who will be camping in cold temperatures. When I received the sleeping bag, I discovered that it is "oversized." It was not advertised as such. The dimensions of the bag were given, but having no experience with sleeping bags, I didn't know those dimensions were larger than an average sleeping bag. Now I am not sure if the receipient of this gift will like it. She is not oversized. The free shipping was great.
Summary: This is a HOT bag. No worries about keeping warm. After a few minutes in it, it begins to feel like an electric blanket. It is BIG though, so not good for hiking it very far. I use it as a Cot Pad in the summer months. Love the zipper at the feet, main reason for buying it. You can open the bottom to let your feet get some air.
Summary: I just ordered this exact sleeping bag. It's completely warm and fluffy. However, do an Amazon search for "Wenzel Tundra" and buy the one that costs $45. It is the same bag as this one. They are both rated to -10 degrees F and they are both oversized.
Summary: I am a big guy, 6'2", 275lbs, and I have had trouble finding a sleeping bag that is big enough for me and not cost a war pension. This is the sleeping bag that fixed both of my problems, great price, and extra large size! Used it other night and it was best sleep I've had in long time in sleeping bag. Only con, was zipper, it was a little tough to deal with a first but after getting in and out a few times, it seemed to get better.
Summary: Nice oversized sleeping bag. Very warm (almost hot) in thirty degree temps. This bag is very roomy and comfortable to sleep in. At 6'4" I was looking for a new bag long enough to sleep comfortably, and this bag delivered.
Summary: We took the bags out this weekend for a trial run, and I am more than pleased with our purchase. The bags are warm, snuggly and over-sized. These are definitely not bags to be used for back-country excursions--car camping trips only. Extremely heavy and cumbersome, but perfect for our needs. The temps dropped into the upper-40s, and I never would have known. Comfortable, cozy and worth purchasing!
Summary: I like this sleeping bag because it's roomy, big and bulky, and very warm in heavy frost weather as long as it is very dry. I dislike the zipper that snags repeatedly. My son's 40° Coleman bag has a better zipper and lining material that does not snag. Also, as a cold-weather bag, you're going to get condensation and frost inside your tent. Any moisture that drips onto the outer shell of the bag soaks in, because the shell is not water-resistant.
Summary: The bag is a decent overall product, however it is too short for me. I'm 6'1" and the tops of my shoulders hang out of the bag and I hate that. I bought the thing because it was oversized and I thought that meant it would fit me. I think the product says 78 inches or something like that, but I think that is the length with the hooded oval part at the top. If your about 5'10" or less I'd say go for it, or if you don't care if your shoulders get cold.
