  • Summary: It is good for the money. I like that it cross cuts. realistically it can cut 5 to 6 sheets at a time without a struggle.

Fellowes Powershred P-48C Shredder

  • Summary: The shredder works well so far. However, it seems a bit smaller than we anticipated, which means it must be emptied more often; and it is noisey. Also, when shredding a lot of papers, you must wait several minutes between batches so as not to overheat and shutdown the shredder.

Fellowes Powershred P-48C Shredder

  • Summary: Its an okay shredder. It is effective but very loud. I've only used for a couple of weeks and it seems to be holding up fine while I cram old documents into it. For that I am grateful - but the sound is pretty nasty. I've had quieter ones that had a less objectionable sound.

  • Summary: I bought this model shredder because Staples states it will run continously, not 5 minutes and then a 50 minute cool down wait. I bought it from WalMart because of the price - Staples online wanted $134.00 for it, WalMart price was $54.88 plus shipping for about $62.00 at my front door.

Fellowes P-48C - Hopefully a (Cross) Cut Above The Rest!

BNibbles, Ciao
7 December 2012
  • Excerpt: LET’S SEE HOW LONG THIS ONE LASTS! I’ve grown tired of buying one shredder after another. I’ve tried fairly expensive ones from reputable ‘office machinery’ companies like Rexel, I’ve tried cheap ones from Tesco, and frankly, none of them lasts like you’d expect them to, especially since they are,...
  • Pros: Reasonably - priced (NOT the RRP ! ) .  Powerful
  • Cons: Drops shredded plastic in with the paper .

  • Excerpt: SHREDDING THE EVIDENCE If the media is to be believed, we live in a society rampant with identity theft. If personal information is not disposed of properly, apparently gangs of villains will happily comb through your coffee grinds and potato peelings looking for valuable snippets of data, which...
  • Pros: Efficient, reliable and effective for occasional home and home office use .
