Summary: This product doesn't feel 'built to last': the plastic on the bin, especially, feels very flimsy for such a heavy duty product. The shredder is also incredibly noisy! My last cross-cut shredder was much quieter & also seemed faster & less fussy about how many pages it shredded at once.
Summary: Liked the 3 yr gaurantee and the good idea of a hand hold for seperating the cutter and control unit from the bin for emptying. Cutter noisey but on a par with other shredders. Bin capacity should be bigger and have a cut out to enable one to see how that bin is filling. This would take the gueswork out of when to empty it. So far ok but time will tell if it is any good and value for money.
Summary: Needed to replace our old shredder. In principle, this ticked most of the boxes, could shred several sheets at once, including staples and credit cards but NOT cd/dvd's. In practice, it shreds alright but is a bit flimsy and top heavy so topples over easily. Wouldn't buy this model again.
Summary: I liked the fact that it was foolproof to use and hasn't broken unlike it's predecessor. However it over-heats after 2 loads and stops working until its cooled down which takes a good 30mins. Very annoying! Not really up to the job of anything but uber light usage.
Summary: I wore out my old shredder after six years so wanted a new low-use home shredder to replace it. After a week I know that I have found a low use shredder. I hesitate to put more than one sheet through it at a time. The strips that come through do not break into separate pieces. But it will shred my bills and bank papers and it takes up little space so i will soldier on with it. But not the best shredder.
