Excerpt: Clipper is fantastic. Only reason it is 4 star and not 5 is because the scissors that came with it feel very budget, and don't cut that well. The clippers however were super sharp out the box, and the battery got through 4 boys haircuts right out the box before needing a recharge. Great buy, very happy.
Summary: I purchased this model about 8 years ago (so no doubt it is several versions old). However I have used it for all of me and my sons hair cuts so it is used ever 2 months or so. I have never maintained the clippers in any way and they are going strong. I've had friends borrow them and then go and get a different make and they have gone through 2-3 sets while my Remington HC 363's still work on.
Summary: These are excellent clippers cutting hair easily and evenly. The only problem is that once the batteries reach the end of their life it's not possible to replace them, so the only option is to use them on mains power only or buy new clippers. I've been using them on mains now for over a year and just hope that the clippers aren't dependent on the batteries somehow and eventually fail completely half way through a haircut!
Summary: I have tried one or two other machines, but they did not match this one for power and quality of cutting. Easy to use and clean, the 'feet' are a bit of a 'fiddle' to attach. The only fault is that you ca'nt buy replacement batteries (like all rechargable batts, after time, they do not hold the charge for long). They look like size AA but are in fact a couple of mm shorter ! You will end up using it on mains power after a couple of years (depending on use).
