Summary: I bought this shaver from Sainsbury's (not Amazon). Worst razor ever! I have had Braun (excellent) and Philips (not brilliant) before (probably about a dozen electric shavers in last 40 yrs) and this is the worst! 1. Doesn't cut! 2. On/off switch is in the wrong place so you accidentally switch it off just when cutting your beard growth (ouch!) 3. The trimmer does not protrude above the head and you can't see what you are trimming! 4.
Summary: Remingtons old advertising strapline (amongst others. This Remington shaver does not shave close at all and takes too long to complete the job. The foil broke and cut my face after about 3 months.
Summary: The shaver was useless. The foil head did not seem to fit at all well, and after two weeks the foil head kept jumping off the blades each time the power button was switched on. I had to rush out and buy another shaver which is proving to be excellent. It is all rather disappointing.
Summary: I have previously only used Philips shavers with three shaving heads as I've found them to offer a good close shave. My Philips shaver needed new blades which are crazy money (about £35 ). I thought I'd try a Remington shaver at £27 which is less than just replacement blades for my old Philips. BIG MISTAKE!! I find this Remington shaver is very large and awkward to use and doesn't give a good shave at all-it is far bigger than it needs to be.
Foil may break if you clean it. F4790 / F5790 / F6790 / F7790

Summary: Sorry Amazon but I bought it a shop. Impulse buy. Silly me. I have only had one shave with it and its not too bad. It should cut better after three shaves as I have found with others I have used. The trimmer is better / stronger than the F3790 I have. I was fed up with buying Foils for the F3790 every 6 months. Ok what about the Foil on the title above. I had one shave, then grip as in the infomation provided from the sides to clean the foil / cutters.
Summary: I bought this and the following day took it back and got a refund. Why? It doesn't shave. It seems like the foil is too far away from the cutters and the holes in the foil are tiny. resulting in a vibrating rub instead of a shave! Terrible product.
Summary: I'm surprised the previous 2 reviews rated this product so highly at 2 stars. I've had previous Remington foil shavers and they've been uniformly excellent, so I was looking forward to this new one. Basically, it gives a truly pathetic shave. I had a couple of days' worth of stubble, and it missed half of it. I had to wet shave afterwards. I tried different techniques over a few days, but it's just a bad product.
Summary: I have always used Phillips shavers in the past, but thought I would try a change. A big mistake, not only is shaving a half hour job with this very tacky product but after one month the foil broke!!. The replacements are in the region of £20 and very difficult to find for this model, also you need to buy the cutters as well as the foil, conveniently enough for Remington.
