Summary: Did a lot of research before buying this, and with excellent value from Amazon it was a no-brainer. Excellent shaver. Feels good in the hand, and looks superb. But more importantly it shaves very well - very smooth both during and the result afterwards. It is true that you need to adopt a different technique if you have been used to foil razors like Brauns but the cut is better.
Summary: Have used electric shavers for many years and have always bought the cheaper ones thinking that the technology claims were mostly hype. After trying most of the different brands I found that Phillips was the best, giving the closest shave but not as good as a wet shave. I decided to splash out and spend on a more expensive model (Although half price still cost £125 + pp.) I have to say that this is the best shaver I have every used and shaves as close as a wet shave.
Summary: i had one of these razors when they first came out, then i chose their brand new razor 3d one and did,nt like it one little bit, (delicate heads)so i returned it, and got this razor in its place, now would,nt be without it,110%
Summary: My wife brought me this razor for Christmas and I've waited until now to give a review. I used to use a Philips top draw razor that was about 10 years old, and finish off with a Mach 3. Now I get a shave as good or better than the Mach 3. I clean it with the jet clean once a week, and leave the liquid to settle and decant back most of the fluid, only throwing a little away each week. Fab shave and a fantastic looking razor.
Summary: Excellent purchase. Meets all expectancies and worth the detailed research involved in determining how, in actual practice, the extra cost justified the claimed mark up in performance levels. Easy to handle, easy to clean even in running hot water without using the special cleaning device and a much more efficient trimming device than my previous Philips model. The flexible heads clearly make more efficient contact with the varied contours of face and neck areas.
Summary: When I purchased the Philips RQ2095 shaver I was already a user of Philips shavers. I had in the past tried foil shavers but having a heavy facial beard, found them unsatisfactory. I was attracted to the RQ1095 because of the shape of the cutting heads and the fact it could be cleaned by running it under the tap daily. The previous foil shavers used to clog up and run down quite quickly with my beard, despite being brushed out on a regular basis.
Summary: I found the Philips electric razor very easy to set up, after following the easy to understand manual. It's a compact unit so it does not take up a lot of room when not in use. The unit has a self clean system & i alternate between using the self clean & just using the brush to clean the heads, this is just to make the cleaning liquid last longer. The self clean takes about 2 hours to complete, but you can just leave the unit to get on with it.
Summary: I bought this product purely on the saving I was making and in the belief that something that expensive must be good. I read the other reviews and decided on balance, I was probably better of making up my own mind. I was not dissapointed. Being a member of Her Majesties Armed Forces I shave every day to a high standard using the stealth system of blades. To be blunt, initially I was dissapointed with the result, but I did have over a weeks growth.
Summary: I treat myself to a new shaver every 5 years or so, and after seeing other reviews about the Philips RQ1095, and the £120 Xmas price-tag how could I resist. All previous dry shavers would leave me with an itchy neck and small cuts here and there on the chin area. This shaver leaves no mark, even though I may go over the area more times than are needed.
