Philips RQ 1095 Arcitec electric shaver

ascribe, ReviewStream
24 October 2009
  • Excerpt: Philips RQ 1095 Arcitec electric shaver is a companion to me that I cannot imagine shaving without. Before its entry into my house, I was usually never comfortable with the razor shaves and feared cuts and bruises. But with Philips RQ 1095 Arcitec electric shaver I am too comfortable …

Not exactly the best electric razor and certainly not worth the money!!

D. Moors, Amazon
4 December 2012
  • Summary: I have finally given up on this razor and feel somewhat ripped off after originally buying it at the full list price (When it was first launched). The razor does do it's job, however that's it...it does it's job, but no better than Philishave razors half the price.

Read all the 1 star reviews - they speak the truth

M. Griffiths, Amazon
8 January 2012
  • Summary: I have been using Philips rotary shavers for 23 years, and this is the worst. The aesthetics and ease of cleaning seem to have been the only considerations in the design brief for this product. It would seem that the engineers have ignored the primary purpose of shaving which it fails at miserably.

High quality, pleasure to use

Kermitz, Amazon
15 October 2011
  • Summary: I used the Philips electric shavers for years, but always the bottom of the range one, the little ones running on AA batteries and mostly made for travellers. I figured, "what could the difference be, they all operate on the same principle".

Good Shaver, poor reliability

R J Bowles, Amazon
27 August 2011
  • Summary: After considerable research I purchased this product back in 2009. Initially, I was pleased with the shaving experience; it was comfortable and avoided shaving rash. I used shaving powder (shaving stick), so found the automated cleaning cycle very helpful for keeping the head clean and for...

Decent shave

Van De Beek, Amazon
16 February 2011
  • Summary: After having used blades for decades I found it was time to stop the hassle and get back to an electric razor. I find that I now shave myself more regularly, because it's easier to get an electric razor than foam up and shave with blades. On the upside: Holds a charge well.

It's good - but not sure if it's worth the money.

Ms. J. Harpin, Amazon
15 February 2011
  • Summary: My wife bought me this as a birthday present to replace my 5 year old Philishave which was starting to go a bit blunt and lose it's charge. Compared to my old model, the RQ1095 is quite noisy, you couldn't have a shave in secret and might even wake your housemates/wife/children up if you leave the...

Top Shaver

Oneiroi, Amazon
18 January 2011
  • Summary: Did a lot of research before buying this, and with excellent value from Amazon it was a no-brainer. Excellent shaver. Feels good in the hand, and looks superb. But more importantly it shaves very well - very smooth both during and the result afterwards.
