Poor build

Sheraiz Mohammed, Amazon
23 October 2014
  • Summary: The small plastic opening lid where you open to throw away the collected hair has broken. Philips will only replace with an equivalent model but not same vacuum feature. Not happy regarding the fact I thought I purchased a quality product.

Questionable build quality.

BDB3003, Amazon
22 October 2014
  • Summary: While I have no complaints about the functionaility of this device - it trims my beard with minimal mess - I have found issues with its build quality. The lid of the collection area is very flimsy and what keeps happening to me is that the plastic latch to close it breaks off after 6 months or so. I'm now on my third one (thankfully Amazon has kindly replaced all of them) and it has happened again.

Good novelty factor and the vacuum did indeed work causing ...

Henry Blunt, Amazon

  • Summary: Bought this on the 6th of January 2014 where it was £36.00!!!! Don't be ripped off now. How it can go up in price to £128.00 by the 9th of October is beyond me. Good novelty factor and the vacuum did indeed work causing minimal hair around the bathroom and sink. REALLY STRUGGLED using it on my neck it just couldn't pick up the hair and would often spend 15 mins moving my head to create a variety angles, trying to stretch skin, looking like a bit of a headcase.

is comfortably to hold

r27, Amazon
8 September 2014
  • Summary: My first one broke as I stupidly cleaned it by running it under a tap and water went into the vacuum and messed it all up...so avoid doing that! Thankfully Amazon replaced it very quickly. As for the trimmer, it does what it says on the tin, is comfortably to hold, charges quickly and retains its charge for a long time. Only complaints are that I would prefer it to go up in 0.5 increments and the vacuum seems bit of a gimmick.

It's ok, the vacuum doesn't remove all the hair ...

Alex Gadd "The Gadd", Amazon
27 July 2014
  • Summary: It's ok, the vacuum doesn't remove all the hair that comes off so i still have to shave over a sink. And the thing that is supposed to make it an adjustable shave doesn't really work as it ends up cutting my hair unevenly, apart from that it works and still hasn't broken after buying it over 2 years ago

Look elsewhere.

  • Summary: I've had this item a little while now, and so can write a constructive review. I'm actually quite disappointed with it. There are loads of beard trimmers out there and this is one of the more expensive ones. The good points are: 1) Battery life is generally good. 2) It gives a reasonably good clean cut, and I've had no pulling of hairs etc when using it. I've had stubble and beards whilst I've had this product and its handled both very well.

Charges quickly and lasts a good month even on Turbo mode

Declan McErlane, Amazon
25 July 2014
  • Summary: Really enjoying it. Travel case is very handy. Charges quickly and lasts a good month even on Turbo mode. Brush for removing hair isn't that great though. The hairs just don't want to leave. Fan could be more powerful as still get complaints from females sharing the bathroom about finding stray facial hair that I failed to notice after shaving.
