Ok to a point

Tommy "Tommy", Amazon
20 May 2014
  • Summary: Bought this beard trimmer as it had a good write up. After about a couple of months use the adjuster broke through no fault of my own. I used a piece of blue tack to stop it moving which has done the trick. Other than that, I have no problems with the unit.

Some minor issues but generally good value.

Stephen2810, Amazon
11 February 2014
  • Summary: The extractor function works well so that you can trim without littering the bathroom with hairs. The downside of it is that the extraction nozzles stop you getting the moustache hairs close under your nose. The section where the trimmed hairs end up is quite big enough for me. (The reviewer who found it got filled up quickly must have a face like the wolfman).

Not great for neat 'edging'

Ian Moore, Amazon
20 May 2013
  • Summary: I bought this primarily as it had a stubble collector and my wife was always complaining how messy I left the bathroom after using my previous trimmer. Whilst it does a reasonable job of shortening my beard evenly, it let's itself down when it comes to trimming my moustache or producing a clean edge to the beard. Consequently, I still have to use my old trimmer and spend time clearing up afterwards. Okay but be aware that, in my opinion, it's not a complete package.

Average trimmer

Athanasios Zigounas, Amazon
26 April 2013
  • Summary: The three stars are for the vacuum feature that works pretty decent and collects enough things, not everything though! As a trimmer it didn't do its job.

Does the job

Alan Melkman, Amazon
4 March 2013
  • Summary: This product is adequate but due to design does not trim moustache very well. Whilst most cut bristles fall into the container some miss and go into sink. Although not critical there is no power lead connection to a shaver plug, just one to the mains.

Fine but not completely amazing

Johnny C, Amazon
31 January 2013
  • Summary: So it's fine, I'm happy with it, and it's good for the price being a fairly budget trimmer. But, I had dreams of using a trimmer that would cut perfectly on the first pass. It only does that when the hair is not more than a couple of millimetres longer than the target length, in which case you'll have to go over the same area a couple of times.

Philips QT 4050 Turbovac Rechargeable Vacuum Beard Trimmer Plus

John Richard, Amazon
28 December 2012
  • Summary: I had an earlier version of this beard trimmer, which I found perfectly satisfactory until the cutter broke and I was unable to find a replacement cutter anywhere. But this latest beard trimmer is something of a disappointment. While it holds a good charge and trims my beard well enough, I find it tends to throw bits of beard and beard dust upwards into my eyes. This is very irritating. So I took the cutter from my new beard trimmer and put it in my old beard trimmer.

Nice enough...

Ryan Edwards, Amazon
7 August 2012
  • Summary: My only complaint is the length control. I personally found that the thing trims a few millimetres longer than you want. However, this is a good product, moves nicely over the face, doesn't tug, and fits nicely in the hand.
