Summary: Vacuum feature is nice for cleaning up the neck area only. It isn't strong enough to handle much more hair and gets clogged constantly. We end up using an old pair of clippers first to get the bulk gone, then go back over with this to clean up.
Summary: For $40+ dollars, this trimmer is not worth the money. Specifically, the trimmer had difficulty actually trimming my beard. It seemed like it was dull and lacked power for thick hair. Also, if you trim more than a weeks worth of growth, the trimmer didn't cut consistently (it left uneven parts) and the vacuum fills up so the suction goes down. If you're trimming small amounts, the trimmer doesn't seem to notice the hair (maybe the trimmer is too dull?).
Summary: This new product is not as easy to use as my old Philips trimmer, and the instruction leaflet is quite the least helpful that I have ever tried to use. Although it is supposed to collect all the trimmings, quite a lot ends up in the sink!
Summary: Not really satisfied with this product, as I feel the vacuum feature is quiet annoying and doesnt let you trim your beard properly, you have to hold your trimmer in many weird ways to trim your beard overall it helps not make a mess but i suppose i could of got something alot more better in 26 pounds.
Summary: This trimmer promises a clean even shave and unfortunately it just doesn't deliver. Its not comfortable to hold as its not ergonomic and has no grip points to adjust your hold when navigating your face... Indeed you'll be lucky not to drop it at least a few times when in use. The trim settings are too long and you'll likely only use the closest setting.
Summary: Shaved my 3week beard quite well but the vacuum does not deliver; the hair that got in the hair compartment seams to have gotten there just by gravity. So it's about useless; there was hair all over the sink. Plus the hair compartment is quite small (but that's for me - probably ok is you shave more often).
Summary: I have had a £9.99 Phillips rechargeable beard trimmer for many years and it was perfect but the battery deteriorated. I ordered this 'turbo-vac' unit thinking 'good idea' but found the vac opening almost immediately blocked with hair and this build-up of hair, within seconds, prevented the cutters reaching 'fresh' hair. This was on setting 3 and my hair was already short.
Summary: I am a Phillips fan, and this is my 3rd Phillips beard trimmer. The earlier ones were cheaper and more basic. And this one is certainly every bit as good when trimming the beard using the length guide attachment. It is really nice too, that you have 18mm to play with on the length. Much more scope than on my older (now defunct) models. The big disappointment comes when you take the length guide attachment off and try to trim the edges of your beard or moustache.
Summary: Firstly the stated 1mm minimum length is incorrect in relation to stubble length achieved (more like 3mm) The vacuum unit seems handy at first but only collects about 80% of the hair (so you end up having to clean out the sink and empty the unit (normally twice per shave)). It makes it overly bulky so that it doesn't get under the nose and jaw as well as my much older philishave.
