Summary: This is my second one, first one lasted about 5 years. It holds the cut hair in a container that you bump out in the garbage can. Why they don't make more with this feature I'll never know... Anything else leaves hair on the counter or the sink which doesn't make the wife happy. Walmart is a least 5 bucks cheaper.
Summary: Keeping a beard at the "right" length is the most important feature of any trimmer. This does the job to perfection, and with ease and simplicity of settings. It's a great accompaniment to my Phillips electric shaver.
Summary: The only reason I bought this is that my Norelco T770 would no longer hold a charge. The cutter head from the T770 fits the QT4050,so I kept that part just in case I needed it later.Great products!I also use an ancient corded Norelco 4401LC for some trim work.
Summary: Vacuum feature is nice for cleaning up the neck area only. It isn't strong enough to handle much more hair and gets clogged constantly. We end up using an old pair of clippers first to get the bulk gone, then go back over with this to clean up.
Summary: Pros Holds charge for a long time Can use it while its plugged in Decent vacuum but doesn't get everything Easy adjustment of trim length Cons Doesn't work well for hair that lays flat on the face, like the hairs on cheeks and neck Can't trim the moustache well with the guard on Can't rinse the head underwater
Summary: Overall it does a good job. I only keep my beard at the stubble level and it does an fairly good job for that. Don't have to go over my face several times. The vacuum doesn't work perfectly, but I have a whole lot less mess to clean up when I'm done. I only wish that it included a smaller cutter like my old Remington used to. I used to use it to trim the hairs in my ears, but this one is too bulky for that. May have to go and buy a second smaller trimmer for that now.
